What's new

Fun contest! Guess where NWA's next "incident" will be!

FAA won't do anything until someone dies. The FAA administrator(Marion Blakey) will be responsible for this when it happens. The FAA  has let a way below standard airline operate in this country for over a year in direct violation of the FAR's,and the FAA just turns a blind eye to the problem. That's why I'm sticking with the Washington D.C. area. A smokin NWA scab clunker needs to divert to FAA headquarters and land on Blakey's lap! Maybe then the FAA will do the right thing?!

We have a winner!

Congrats PurduePete, even guessing in the same state:

NW1483 on 9/07 - MSP-MSO diverts to GEG. According to flifo on NWA.com: "Note: Diversion/delay due to mechanical problem". That's kind of odd to overfly MSO to divert to GEG.

I hate to rain on my own parade, but a while ago, we all agreed that the emergency landing had to be reported in the media for it to count. Sadly, I can't find any reference to the Spokane event anywhere on the web, other than the flight info page on the NW site. Therefore, this round of the contest is technically still ongoing. 🙂

It is strange that the A319 would fly 170 miles past its destination of MSO to divert into GEG. My guess is that more on-call mechanics were available in Spokane to try and fix the plane than there were in Missoula. I wonder what the problem was? :glare:

Bingo.

I wonder what the problem was? :glare:

"Flight control flap fault message," according to WorldFlight.

Also, yesterday flight 1561, A/C 9935 had an IFSD enroute from DTW to MSN, due to a RT engine compressor stall.

lets make sure without me in it..ok? Now I'm getting scared. You guys might scare me into inflight management again.

I'll go with a landing on a dirt road somewheres in the middle of no mans land due to no power and pax stay on for say 24 hrs till a few buses come by!!! 😛

You guys are just sick. You laugh and joke about airplanes going down and that is funny? How any of you would joke about people of any airline "going down" or having an accident???......Sick people you are. I have stopped coming to these boards because of sick humor like yours. What goes around comes around. I wish you all peace and happiness but the way you are joking about these things......good luck. Not professional at all!

i never said nor did anyone else say they wanted a crash with fatalities. we are making a point that with daily emergency landings nwa has, it is a matter of time before one tragic accident happens and it would be due to unqualified scabs and the tombstone agency known as the faa. my post was just a simple humor that a plane lands on a dirt road and the pax stay on it till the next day. nwa is world reknown for keeping pax on board for hrs.

We only think it is "funny" that clearly sub-standard maintenance is allowed on a major U.S. air carrier, while the FAA appears to turn a blind eye...

If you've "stopped coming to these boards", then how is it you are here?

Oh looky, is it possible we have a goo-gobblin' ALPA pilot here? I'll tell ya what's sick, vile, and unprofessional....is the way Scab Air calls all these weekly incidents; "Just another NORMAL emergency landing. Normal??? That's F'up beyond belief. No one here wants to see anybody get hurt or killed because of Scab Air's complete disregard for saftey of its passengers and employees. Scab and China maintenance isn't cutting it is it?

How a pilot or F/A could fly on a Scab Air 1960's @ 1970's POS flying junker is beyond me. The corrupt FAA isn't going to lift a finger to stop this madness until there is a smoking hole. I again sincerely hope that doesn't happen before the chapter 7 selloff.
