What's new

Fun contest! Guess where NWA's next "incident" will be!

Hey, I'm back on line finally. I see we are still playing this silly little demented game. I'm going to go with Kev on LAS with smoke in the cabin.

Ya gotta pick your own city, PTO. No co-winners in this game.

Since you like Nevada, how about RNO? Or SLC to stay in the neighborhood?

how can you say its silly game when you dam well know its the truth.
my pick is still with SNA how about an entire plane trouble from A to Z and right smack in the middle may be flap panel fallin off

This isn't verified yet, but read on another site.
Northwest airlines emergency landing in Green Bay.

brief scare on a Northwest Airlines Jet in Green Bay today. The pilots on flight 206 from Green Bay to Detroit returned to the airport and made an emergency landing after reporting smoke in the cockpit.

The plane landed safely, but because of a problem with it's brakes passengers were taken off the DC-9 on the runway. 81 people were on board. Everyone is okay.

Can anyone verify?

if true who is the winner? And if tru then I will choose ABQ with a dead engine issue

I didn't even get to make a choice for the location of the latest emergency landing! 🙁

Yet another incident involving multiple issues too (smoke in the cockpit & brake problems).

I will say that the next incident takes place during one of their sports charter flights and will happen in STL.

The truth is robbed, is that NWA is out performing you guys left and right. Talk about opening a can of union whoop a....

For the month of august 2006 NWA had 55 diverted flights. AA had 188 and UA had 120. If NWA’s maintenance program is so horrible you need to take a look at your own operations. Why don’t you AA guys post your failures on your board the way you like to post NWA’s. I don’t guess you union folk can cut it after all.

I think you're choosing to read the diversion stats a little differently. Diversion could be for a number of reasons, including, but not limited to mechanical, medical emergency, extra sections, weather issues. That UA & AA are leading the list jumps out that ATC issues in ORD have a major impact in the diversion amounts.

No, I do not work for AA or UA either.

Yes, I do realize this. It would be nice to have those numbers broken down by categories you just listed. I think though you would find that diversions would be about the same on average in the same categories.

the TRUTH is is you dont know what the truth is cuz you dont work for them anymore. the sad part is is that SCRAPPY PATCH MEDAL AIR is nothin more than a disaster waitin to happen cuz they dont have a maintaince program like they used to. In fact they dont have real maintaince persinell. So as long as that is to be, Scrappy Patch Air is giving those pax a tour of a new city each week and I hope a disaster doesnt happen but at that rate sadly it will happen.

This time I'll take the Left-Coast Trifecta

ANC-PDX-SFO
Who knows maybe the next one will be the one I'm on! At least my babes will be rollin' in the insurance dough.

I'll say DTW again. I'm sure a plane will sink somewhere near the Edmund Fitzgerald...
