This plane was in the air all of 6 minutes... I wonder if that counts as a segment flown toward WorldPerks totals? As if a RTFL for smoke wasn't bad enough, the brakes locking up on landing is just adding insult to injury

[TULSA, Okla. A Northwest Airlines passenger aircraft made an emergency landing in Tulsa tonight after experiencing problems with its controls.
The aircraft took off from Memphis, Tennessee, Sunday evening and was bound for Oklahoma City. Alexis Higgins, spokeswoman for Tulsa International Airport, says it was diverted to Tulsa and landed safely about 9:20 p-m.

Higgins says the pilot reported experiencing some mechanical difficulties but the nature of the problem wasn't immediately known. Higgins says she doesn't think it was weather related.

Heavy rain fell across the state Sunday as a storm system moved eastward.

It wasn't immediately known whether the aircraft's approximately 50 passengers were transported to Oklahoma City overnight or spent the night in Tulsa.

see pto as long as NWA dont have mechanics, these things will pile up so high that it wont be long before either a disaster (which I dont want to happen) or the FAA shuts down NWA

I don't think Airlink junk counts, only NWA Chinese/MRO armpit overhauled...scab maintained junk. It also has to be reported in the news.

Don't worry, the flights will be back, with purdy red lights on the green fire trucks a flashin'. Then some stranded or very late passengers looking for a peanutbutter and pickle sandwich to throw at Dougie and the "flawless" scab plan. (I think PBP was an Elvis fav?) 🙄
