Unions need a legislated act ?

Membership floundering around 12-12.1% tells me workers have lost faith in unions and don't care....this is why unions want to make it easier to go into work places.

Check out UMWA's Int'l page...they still have a link as to why McCain isn't good for coal yet they support Obama who is clearly on record about taxing coal fired power into bankruptcy yet these clowns blindly support him....

Some,not all. The Teamsters organized 40.000 more workers this year.
How many union members bother to attend meetings, call their elected representatives(in the union,or government)? How many pride themselves on activism? How many people would be angry to be called a radical?

I'm a Delta AMT, but foremost I'm an activist. I'm not ashamed of the fact that I don't blindly follow.

At the Teamsters local 528 in Atlanta, many years ago, I was asked to read a letter I'd written to my co-workers regarding the importance of a united workforce in the battle for workers rights. This was a conference call that included several organizers from our outstations. Afterward the head of the organizing drive kiddingly called me a radical.
To some of us that was payment of a compliment. That was the spirit of his saying that.
I thanked him.

Did you know that the founders of the country that you and I both care deeply about, were referred to as radicals by the world powers that opposed the United States then during our country's birth, and now? The same world powers that, in fact control the Federal Reserve.

I'm aware of a lot more than you know.....I was a floor steward for over 8 years.I know all about piss poor membership and the frustrations that goes with caring.
