Has anybody tried to use the new GoZed interline fare website? NW has proclaimed this as the new wave in automated ease for calculating fares on different airlines that sign up...They use 3 different tiers of fares, depending on the interline agreement between each carrier Low, Medium, and High. We have the good "Low" fare agreement with Air France and Alitalia but only a "Medium" with our great partner KLM....can anybody give me an insight as to the logic of this program? And it seems that prices now on KLM are higher than when we just used the ID-95 scale. Just a thought. 🙂

Most airlines are going to ZED fares which will make OAL non-revving easier and simpler. The last time I checked approximately 150 airlines were participating in the ZED(Zonal Employee Discount) program. United and Delta are so far exceptions. The good news is that it is generally cheaper if you are only flying one or posssibly two flight legs on the ZED carrier of choice. Multiple legs become more expensive as there is an individual charge for each leg flown. If multiple ZED carriers fly the same route you can use one Zed ticket interchangably on any of those carriers without purchasing separate tickets for each airline. Another ZED plus is that ZED tickets are good for 6 months vs. 90 days for most ID fares.
You can list for flights on a few ZED carriers via the Fly ZED website with plans for all carriers to eventually require listing this way. Another plus is that most carriers seem to be allowing unlimited vs. one per year for retirees. Each individual carrier can choose low, medium or high ZED fare of choice. So far most have chosen medium.
