Has USAPA declared success

If any of you easties want to read this, I suggest you find an adult to help you.

B. US Airways Has Incurred Significant Costs From Increased Baggage and Passenger Misconnections Attributable to Pilot Caused Delays

50. Flight delays increase the probability that connecting passengers and their checked

luggage fail to make their connecting flight. When passengers or checked luggage fail

to make their connecting flights, US Airways can incur additional costs. Although

many passengers that miss their connections can be rebooked on a later flight the same

day with minimal direct costs to the Company,55 US Airways may need to provide

various forms of compensation for passengers with longer delays due to a missed

connection such as meal vouchers, additional frequent flyer miles or flight vouchers to

be used on a future flight. Likewise, US Airways may need to incur the costs of hotel

accommodations and ground transportation for passengers who miss the last

connecting flight of the day to their final destination due to a flight delay. Finally, in

some instances, US Airways may need to pay the costs of re-accommodating

passengers who have missed their connections on another airline.

52. US Airways estimates that the costs associated with each mishandled piece of checked

luggage is approximately $50.59 Based on the estimated increase in the rate of

Charlotte mishandled bags attributable to pilot actions of 5.2 per thousand connecting

passengers and an average daily number of Charlotte connecting passengers of 37,863,

I estimate that pilot actions have added approximately $10,000 per day to US Airways

costs solely as a result of mishandled bags. Thus, since May1, East pilot actions have

led to over 17,000 misconnected bags, imposing more than $856,000 in incremental

mishandled baggage costs on the Company.

Hey idiot do you see how many time this expert uses the words...may need or can incur.....
theses are possibilities.......an affidavit is supposed to be based on personal knowledge
my guess is that the expert may get his ass handed to him at some point in the future
were there 17000 bags that were mishandled and how many of them were due to maint where
the mechanics did find a problem and fixed it....how about WX....how about an ATC 3 hour
groundstops how about CNX due to lack of crews....etc........this affidavit in parts ...is a joke.
Do you thik this company tracks WHY a bag misconnected.......I doubt it.

This whole thing is so much hocum. The company is really barking up the wrong tree.

There is no denying CLT has been having the worst weather in like 10 years....or better. Just because PHX doesn't have these issues doesn't mean they don't exisit. Just imagine having a huge dust storm every day for months on end.....yes PHX would have delays. And so it goes.....CLT has been having gulley washer thunder storms all spring and summer.....so as a result we have had diversions and delays. This can not be blamed on the pilots.

Now couple this mess with the company's decesion to micro-manage the g-agents schedules from out of Tempe....not the station managers....which has been going on for months.....we have planes coming in and waiting at the gates that have no scheduled agents to pull the jetways to the planes. FACT!!!

Also, it has become common practice to have unscheduled aircraft changes in CLT. I have stopped telling the pax our inbound gate because I'm tired of lying to my pax. I can't go thru CLT anymore without an aircraft change. This is the company's doing. As a result....we are rushing to our new gate....after dealing with wheelchair pax and UM's. Then we're late again for boarding. It's not my fault!!!! Then the pilots are trying to do their job....and going over their stuff ...verifing everything is on the up and up......and yes....they are are going to run into mtc issuses at the last minute.

This company has created this mess. They need to own it and stop trying to blame everyone for this.

Its one excuse after another for you guys, isn't it.

Senility, venue, etc. - always something.

Guess we'll find out Friday just what an idiot you are.

Is US trying to break USAPA? Yes I think so!

Why would the company want to do that? That would be biting the hand that has fed them the lowest labor costs in the industry and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. This is simply rapping the dog (USAPA) on the nose with a rolled up newspaper so they remember who's boss.

Quite effectively I might add.

Water separator "socks" have had varying degrees of stinkiness since the first ACM were invented. But you'd need both experience and honesty to acknowledge that you already know that. How many FA's ever suffered from this before being stoked by the lanyard brigade? A number close to zero?
Actually, this issue (awareness) of cabin air quality dates back prior to yellow lanyards.

Same strategy we're using on the west.

Cleary is the best thing that could have happened to us. If anyone can rid the property of USAPA, it'll be Cleary. Master of polarization.

Go Mike!! I'll be voting for you when the time comes.
