Health Care Reform

It is Obamacare that is the discussion at hand. There's a distinction between insurance reform and government takeover. Blame Bush is no longer a relevent excuse for the obvious flaws in the Obamacare proposals.
Very lame. Stop dodging the very relevant question.

Why were these plans not presented under the Republican President, with a Republican Congress in the majority???

If you don't know why, just say so.

What does that have to do with your started topic?

It is an Obama HC issue and that alone......please stay on your own topic.

It is health care reform dude. These are proposals.

Why were they not proposed earlier when they were in power?

You answer the question then for her then. If you don't know, just say so.

Like I said.....

I hope we can debate this subject with civility as this legislation moves through congress as our representatives come back from recess.

President Obama writes an op-ed piece published in today's New York Times.

Why We Need Health Care Reform - By BARACK OBAMA
Published: August 15, 2009

I note nothing here regarding past administrations or GOP....

From your own link:

The long and vigorous debate about health care that’s been taking place over the past few months is a good thing. It’s what America’s all about.

Wheres the Bush bashers??

Oh they aren't in power now,its all about Obama if you failed to notice.....

I'll take that as...you have no answer.

If the plans were so good, I find it ironic that they were not presented before.

You take it wrong as usual.

Like you said....we are discussing the Democrat introduced legislation that they claim they may pass alone......

Democrat legislation.......not GOP.

Democrat legislation trying to be rammed through both houses without reading or debate which from what I was taught was the fundamental foundation of our Democracy.

Democrat legislation that was written by who??

Democrat legislation that was written by who??
And now we have a poster saying the Republicans have these proposals that have been out there and wonders why these are not being considered.

These proposals were not worth it when they knew they could be passed by their own party, when they had a true majority, but now they are?

BTW. You don't have to defend the one who posted that.

Why don't you defend the proposals on their merits, instead of saying that they don't belong in the debate???

Any proposal at all, including ones from the Reps. or a 3 year old, is better than Ram-it-Down your throat proposal the Demorats are pushing !

Because the issue at hand is not what wasn't presented but what has been and who BTW wrote it.....?? In such a short time......or hasn't that sunk in yet?

You know there are several proposals. I have posted many links to them in this thread. The Senate finance Committee has one, and several house committees have them. They are written by the majority party (Democrat).

Their proposals have been in the works for a long time, waiting on a President that would consider signing them. As opposed to your party having nothing to offer when they had the opportunity to pass something. Now that they know they cannot get something of their own passed, they come out say "what about ours"?

How genuine.

Let me see if I get this right. Your absurd reasoning says that because the Republicans didn't try to ram down a bogus insurance reform, then its ok to accept Obama's? Is that it techno?

The dems have the body count in votes to get this done, but cant. Why is that? You think the repubs are sinking this? Nope, its all on the left!

Obviously you haven't been paying attention to the media.....its because of a right wing conspiracy preventing the party that controls without a vote all three branches of government.

Damn those GOP radicals.....

Any idea who is behind the writing of these proposals? Bet you have no idea who.....

How genuine.....you purport the party mantra and have no clue who writes this stuff....

BTW...ain't my party pal.....

I don't think that is what he is saying. I believe what he is pointing out is what I stated earlier. Any form of substantial health care reform is not going to pass. Both sides know that. Neither side really wants it to pass. Both sides can go back to theor constituents and say either "hey I tried" or "hey, I saved you". Mean while back at the ranch, we are all getting screed as usual by our BS health care.

Screed by healthcare? Time to change doctors perhaps? My healthcare is great. I have access to some of the top doctors and specialists in the nation. UCLA Med Group. If your unhappy with yours then find a better one.

Obamacare isn't going to make your doctor, a better doctor.
