Now it's too short of a haul. Won't happen--these days WN is only interested in longer flights than this.

Why do you say that?
Although most of WN's newer routes are medium/long haul - look at the newest markets since 01 or so - PBI, IAD, ORK, PHL, PIT.
However, you notice (PHL esp.) there are many short hauls mixed into the lot.
Moreover, SFO has SAN and LAS - both short hauls - as 2 of its 3 routes.
DEN started with PHX, LAS and MDW - none were really long haul.
I think the real question is this: is there enough O&D traffic to fill planes between DEN and ABQ?
With LAS and PHX near by, ABQ is less important in terms of transfers and connections. So there is an argument against ABQ. However, if there is enogh demand for the route, I do not see why WN would not run this city pair.
With the burst in LCCs, I am also surprised WN hasn't looked at some markets that may be ripe for WN service: CVG, GRR, MEM to name a few.

Alot of us assumed that would have been one of the first ones, considering ease of transfer to DAL.
But looking at loads, they're good enough to make me go with Frontier paying $50 ID90 out of DFW to DEN rather than chancing it from DAL. Frontier's DEN-DFW-DEN flights were running about %60 even for Friday afternoon (according to available seats to sell on their seat map online).

Well, I didn't see DEN-SEA coming this year. WOW!! 4 airlines on the route, DAMN! The customers are going to love it as fares should hit rock bottom for a while. just my thoughts.........

In addition to the new service to New Orleans, we're adding lots more "shush" to the slopes of the Rockies by adding 14 departures each day from Denver, including new nonstop service between Denver and Albuquerque, Austin, Amarillo, Oklahoma City, and Seattle. The Amarillo and Oklahoma City service will offer one-stop, direct same-plane service between Denver and Dallas Love Field, making travel between the two "Big D's" that much easier. This will bring us up to 56 daily departures from Denver International!

I'm hoping there's enough room in the Denver market for both WN's and F9's LCC products, as I don't really think Ted is much of a factor anymore, and their days may be numbered.

If F9 can get Lynx certified and the Q400s flying and add connections to places like EGE, GUC, HDN,ZTL,LAR,DRO, ASE and COS I think they'll have an increased load factor being able to sell those connections, If that happens I think there would be room for both WN and F9.
