Guess you havent checked but they posted something on usairways.com on 8/25/2011 at 4:13pm, and its the second update.

Thanks for the correction, 700.

I heard from a US employee that most flights in the NE have been cancelled for Sunday. A check on usairways.com in some random markets show a great many flights as "not available", but BOS-DCA Shuttle seats are still being sold.

flightaware.com shows the following cancelations by airline for Sunday :

Flights Airline
435 JetBlue Airways
332 Air Wisconsin Airlines
54 Commutair
7 Turkish Airlines
6 Continental Air Lines (United)
3 US Airways
3 PSA Airlines
2 South African Airways
2 Chautauqua Airlines
1 Mesa Airlines
1 ExpressJet Airlines

Flight aware is a great site for day of travel info; it's not always as good two days out. Looks like jetBlue is pretty much standing down (at least in the East), so is AWAC. Does anyone with QIK/SHARES access have more info?

Q: What do US Airways and Hurricane Irene have in common?
A: They both blow!!!! 😀 😀

I know childish and in poor taste.

I just hope all of our friends who may be in harm's way will remain safe and dry. I am in the process of stowing all my outdoor items, and made arrangements to put my car in my in-law's garage...my wife gets our garage....

Stay safe everyone-- let's hope it isn't as bad as they say it might be.

#2 in most complained about companies......I'd say it blows!

I thought it was a good one and how true since AWA tried to run this place.

Humor is so subjective! Glad someone chuckled. Hurricanes are no laughing matter and IMO the east coast north of the Carolinas is ill prepared to handle one of Irene's size and scope. I certainly hope we don't have a Katrina like situation develop post Irene if it hits a major city dead on.

If it hit PHL it could become an economic disaster for US Airways.

Your an idiot

But maybe diamond cutter knows the difference between "your" and "you're". eh?

<Now, back to Irene.>

from MSNBC:

US Airways will not operate flights into or out of Washington National, Dulles and Baltimore late Saturday and into Sunday. The carrier will extend the cancellations to flights into and out of Philadelphia, New York and Boston on Sunday.

Art be safe, I have gone through a few hurricanes growing up in Valley Stream, I remember Belle and Gloria.

Thanks. We are at a high elevation, so not worried about water, just wind. Been through a few myself, and cleaned up after a couple as a firefighter.

Everyone please stay safe and dry...

Looks like the latest forecasts predict it will be a tropical storm by the time the eye reaches you, Art.

+1. I lived through Hurricane Agnes, and although I barely remember it, it scarred my childhood. We lost a ton of old family photos, and couldn't live in our house for months during the cleanup.
