The opening line in the voting notice and instructions letter reads as follows
"as determined by the IAC and prior to court rejection, the TWU/M&R and American airlines 1113 contract ratification is being conducted by secret ballot"

prior to court rejection?

Has the TWU already decided our contract is toast before we even fight in court?
Bob Owens is right (in another post)........ this LBO is UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER.

I have to admit, there are some disturbing nudges being made by the TWU.

There should be red flags flying up all over in here! just like 2003....only worse.
vote it down. it goes away. we start anew. There may be some crap imposed in the mean time, but we stand a chance of a better deal down the road. This lasts the better part of a decade.this gives it all away and protects NOTHING.

When the AA Supervisor is holding Crew Meetings advocating a Yes Vote, then the company is also involved in the nudge.

VOTE NO

I guess the proper language would have been "prior to the courts decision".

So, what do we get with a "no" vote? I voted no last time and don't recall getting anything out of it.

The union doesn't want to use "your" money to fight AA in court. They are obviously on the take. Again, if the contract is abrogated.....the pensions are terminated, not frozen, and therefore, Jim Little's pension will be reduced to the maximum in the PBGC. He obviously has a vested interest in seeing that the LBO get's voted in. There is absolutely NOTHING to gain by voting yes...you will be locked in for 6 years, minimum, and when section 6 openers start in 2018....the company will stall negotiations for another 4 to 5 years. That will bring you to 2022 or 2023. That's 20 years worth of pay cuts, people!

TWU claims to save jobs with this concession crap. And then they sign and advocate a merger term sheet with USAirways that only gives the Tulsa Maintenance Base and 4500 AMT's 2 years. Really? Which is it? Save the jobs or give them away?

Double Talk Ignorant Fools.

VOTE NO

I don't believe it as sinister as this, I believe that Jim or any other int. union official doesn't want the responsiblity of mechanics being laidoff without a chance to vote on something, it's a case of damned if you do damned if you don't.

If they were really on the take the 2010 TA would have been signed in by Jim.

I will vote no, and I don't believe sacrificing pay for jobs.

Likewise, the comparison sent with the ballot info also says there will be no raises or profit sharing if we vote no and this is just not the same thing that is on Jetnet's comparison.
It's 180 out from it.
So who's zoomin who here?

So, what you think you are going to get with a yes vote?
I tell you - the worst ever deal in a AA history and one of the worst in airline history.

VOTE NO
