What's new

I mean.............is ANY RE-PLUG-BLICAN gonna' run in 2016 ?

He would have to somehow get the Republican nod. Highly unlikely.

I do know that neoconservative and tea party are opposite in some respect. The problem with the tea party is people like Palin, Bachmann, and other lunatic fringe. Paul has to harness those that don't want to be associated with them, while also getting the support of those same loons. All the while getting bombed from the Republican special interest machine. Oh, and the Democratic opposition.

How would he get nominated?
he is a republican he will run, and would get nominated just like anyone else...

palin likes to put herself as part of the tea party movement but she was the running mate of the biggest neocon of the bunch, mccain shes as tea party as hillary.. hell i think shes put out there by the neocon masters of the party to make the movement look bad...

the nice thing about rand paul is he at least looks like he could presidential, i always liked ron paul, but he looked like a vampire half the time, at least rand looks like new blood...(pun intended)

romney was a neocon powerhouse... he was a republican governor of a classical liberal state...

he put in romney care...

and tahts what killed him, we didnt want the guy as president, who created a health care system that obama care was based on, we didnt want obama care...

the republcans need to stop going to the middle, and embrace the right, conservative part of the party... the american people want a difference in parties not progressive, and progressive lite..
The center is where elections are won, not on the right or left. Run a Cruz or Ryan at your own risk. I'm pretty sure they will go down in flames. Get a moderate on the ticket and you might have a chance. Of course a of this is moot if the GOP does not ditch all the extreme social BS. Keep that on the platform and they will lose again.

Giving up in 2014 already, Bears?...

Don't know about Herman, but Rick Perry's looking pretty presidential lately.

That said, I don't expect the race for 2016 to really start until a year from now. It will be more fun watching Biden and Clinton angling for the Dem's nod.

1.   YOU and I KNOW that you keep the 'house', we keep '1600 and YOU pick up a very few seats in the Senate,..B U T Not enough for the Majority  !!   Uncle HARRY from Nevada is in NO danger of losing his present job.

2.  (P)RICK PERRY ?  Are you shittin' me Eric  ?  I've known  you long enough to KNOW that you can't keep a straight face while making THAT statement.

3.   The HILL and JOE thing can be solved Very simply.  Joe is not stupid.  All that would need to be done is have HILL + BILL + and JOE + (beautiful) JILL (Biden) sit down with the Top D-Party advisors, and do something that I believe may not have been done to date in presidential politics.  That being, Joe agrees to stay on as HILL's VP, for the first " 4 " anyway, THEN make that a public announcement the day she declares she's running.
Hill and Joe, and the majority of the women in the country, the LATINO'S, Gays, and the Liberal men.
If that were EVER to happen, H + J would get 55% of the vote, without breaking a sweat.
(Coupled with of course the fact that the GOP is sooooooooooooooooooo F'D - UP) (THANK YOU fellow TEA-BAGS)
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm guessing you haven't been paying attention to the election results. Every GOP senator seeking re-election has won their primary.

You seem to think the Tea Party challengers are driving the agenda, but aside from the guy who beat Eric Cantor, they're not. And Cantor didn't bother to do any real campaigning, so he deserved to lose...

The Senate? It's not over until November, but so far, all of the math is leading to Harry Reid being bumped from his chair.
