Hello all,
Just wanted to check and see if anyone could provide me with the details of the business first service from IAH-HNL on the 767-400. I am thinking of using CO instead of US. Any comments would be very much welcomed.

Service=1 hot meal(free,no BOB) and lite snack prior to landing.

Entertainment=All seats have individual PTV. BF has 17 channels YC=8 channels.$1.00 for headsets.

Equipment=767-400,nice and clean.

Just avoid rows 28,29,30. Located near overwing exits and lavs and are cooooold! 🙁

Let me correct the food service because that's what they serve in coach...no offense feateroleather

Here is what they serve in Business First....

You start with a beverage service prior to departure on gate...

Prior to the appetizers being served you will have a choice of any bevergage (alchol/non-aclhol) with hot fresh roasted nuts(almond, cashew, pecan, regular peanut)

Once on mid flight you will be served with an appetizer which is shrimp cocktail.

After that you have a choice of either a salad or soup for your next course..a choice of 5 different breads will be served proir to entree.

Then your main entree arrives which you have a choice of either beef, chicken, pasta or even salmon. The menu changes periodically and is created by a celeberty chef who is Roy Yamaguchi from HNL.

Finally dessert...you will be served ice cream sundae with dessert wine being served along with it..

But ain't over yet..You will be served a light snack prior to landing which is a mushroom swiss burger and fruits.

ENTERTAINMENT: Is the same listed above but headphones are included....

the seating arrangement is 2-1-2 on business first so the middle is nice to have if you traveling alone on a business trip...

Service on business first is spectacular for a U.S. carrier....Continental Airlines takes a lot of pride with treating thier customers right.

usair could learn a valuable lesson from co about customer service ive flown on Express jet and even their service is excellent a huge blueberry muffin was delicious on the ewr-orf flight almost a yr ago when i took the first flt

My bad. I guess the jet lag got to me! I wish they would cater us with those small water bottles, like they do on "real" BF flights, since its a day flight and people tend to stay awake. The FC HNL (from EWR & IAH) flights are a hybrid of BF seats but no amenities kits but real BF pillows and blankets and headsets with domestic catering, flown by int'l crews. Still better than anything by all other U.S. carriers to Paradise!

yes, they do
Oh do they? Is that why my last FC experience on CO, they ran out of the omlette breakfast on four of four segments. On one of the segments a pssgr. in the row ahead ordered the cereal, I ordered the omlette, he changed his mind and the FA gave him both the cereal and omlette. I paid full price FC fare, and this was totally unacceptable service. They should cater enough omlettes for the entire FC cabin, as this is what the majority request. The cereal should be catered in the event a pssgr. makes the request.

Oh boo hoo. So the FA made a boneheaded move and screwed up the service.CO still has a lot more service than most of the other legacies,so dont write us off over one or two incidents, especially if you didn't get a choice. You still will get fed.

Top Chef, Season Three, Episode 11.CO's service is top notch, only airline to still provide free food in coach.

They were featured on an episode of Top Chef.

EPISODE 11:
Snacks on a Plane
It was a competition from the get-go as the chefs were awoken to the grumbles of Padma's stomach. She was hungry, and the chefs had to make her breakfast using their Breville blenders. While there didn't really seem to be a bad dish in the bunch, Hung's steak and eggs and Grand Marnier shake was victorious. Padma then informed the chefs that they would be going on a trip. But what she didn't tell them was that the real challenge would occur on the plane itself parked at Newark Liberty International Airport. The chefs worked with the culinary crew at Continental Airlines to create dishes that could be served to their Business Class members, and would be tested by their own elite flight attendants. While Casey's dish inspired guest judge Anthony Bourdain's palate and earned her her second win in a row, CJ's never made it off the runway.

At $1400 per ticket I disagree. The service should be top notch, no exceptions.

Ahh, but it is...........

Next time check in more than 20 minutes before departure and you can get a seat towards the front of the cabin.
Then you too may be able to have 2 meals.

I was checked in 1.5 hrs ahead, the placement of the seat shouldn't be an issue, and I do not require two meals.

What I meant to say was, you would have a choice of 2 meals, not eat 2 meals. If you were to get your seat assigned earlier, then you would be able to
have a seat towards the front of the cabin. Seating toward the front is an issue, because most FA's take the orders
of the pax's from the front to back of the cabin.

Try it next time, it may save you a little frustration and make your trip more enjoyable. 😀

For the money, CO and AA would offer the best service. US should be the LAST airline you choose to Hawaii. In fact, I would postpone a trip to Hawaii if US was my only choice when looking at premium class travel.

CO 767-400 seats are the standard bizFirst seats used on transatlatic route. Personal TVs are not on-demand, but offer a good choice.
AA 767-300 seats are the new lie-flat biz class seats, also used on transatlantic and latin america flights.
(don't take an AA 757, as they do fly some of them to Hawaii). Personal TVs are on demand.

US only flies 757s to Hawaii and they offer standard domestic first class seats with crappy recline, no foot/legrests and no personal TV.
