Answer: When a Company has to pay a unskilled worker what it has to pay a high skilled worker THE HIGH SKILLED WORKES GETS THE SHAFT AS IN LOWER WAGES AND SO ON...

PROOF: THE PILOTS ONLY HAVE HIGH SKILLED WORKERS IN THEIR UNION.(licensed to operate an aircraft in flight.)

AS I SEE IT THE IAM HAS HELPED HOLD DOWN THE AMT'S PAY ALL THROUGHOUT THE AIRLINES BY PAYING UNSKILLED WORKERS WHAT THEY PAY LICENSED HIGH SKILLED WORKERS.

THIS IS WHAT I CALL RIDING ON THE COATTAILS OF THE LICENSED HIGH SKILLED WORKER (AMT's).

The real reason wages are the way they are is because of MROs, they can pay someone $13 an hour to do the same job you do for $20+ an hour and not offer them benefits.

Take a look around how much the pilots wages have come down due to outsourcing, RJs have driven the pilots wages down, there union is powerless to stop it.

Check the TWU, at US Mechs were over $30 an hour before the first Bankruptcy.

Dont let the facts get in the way of your rants.

Check the ibt who leads the industry in outsourcing of heavy mtc, go ask the ibt who organized scabs at CO.

Hey 7 still waiting from many threads gone past now for the names of the banks and utility companys you got taken scope language as payment on your bills? We got none out here so you can have your scope I'll take the higher wagesthat I get with the IBT and my extra vacation days, more paid vacation time to spend with the wife and kids, oh and being paid for both my A&P (not just one as with the IAM) 🙁 .

Who knows with the money and the time i can take the kids fishing maybe run into ERIC,MMW OR BROWN ENJOYING TIME OFF :up: :up:

That is correct brown. They know its the truth....but they will never admit it. Thank the IAM for reducing the value of the AMT. 🙂
 
Thank your ibt all their contracts allow the total outsource of heavy mtc.

It took two bankuptcies in less then two years to allow partial outsourcing.

Take off your blinders and let reality sink in.

The IAM CBAs in the industry pre 9/11 were one of the highest paid and best scope language, something you ibters cant say about your cbas.

AS FOR THE UNLICENSED MECHANICS THEIR PAY NEEDS TO BE LOWER AS SO TO GIVE THEM THE DRIVE TO BETTER THEM SELFS UP TO THE PROFESSIONAL LICENSED AMT SO AS NOT TO LOWER THE PROFESSIONAL LICENSED SKILLED WORKERS PAY TO SUPPORT THE UNSKILLED AND UNLICENSED WORKERS.

THE SAME CAN BE SAID FOR A PERSON THAT NEGOTIATES CONTRACTS. AS YOU SAY A Box Handler.
THIS BOX HANDLER IS A SKILLED NEGOTIATER AT IBT AND WITH HIS TEAM OF STEWARDS FROM THE AMTS AND GSE FROM AWA HAVE SAVED JOBS AND BROUGHT BACK WORKERS AND WORK INHOUSE THAT WAS LOST BEFORE THE TEAMSTERS REPRESENTATION WAS VOTED IN AT AWA.

Why all the bickering about this? We all know the only reason why the IAM wants a higher number and IBT wants a lower number declared eligible to vote. Its to better IAM's position that that IBT didn't get enough cards and better IBT's position that they have enough cards to force a vote. You know full well ALL unions, when all is said and done, want as many members as possible to collect dues from. The thing is IF the IBT does have enough cards even with all members included that the IAM wants eligible and a vote is forced did they cut their own throat? Will enough members vote to keep either of the unions or will the IBT get smart and pull out like the TWU did with fleet service?

My take is if everyone is included and a vote is declared then the IBT will settle under the table with IAM and then pull out. If IBT gets the lower number and a vote is declared then the vote will be very close and could go either way.
