TWUer,

All that B.S. you spewed and you still didn't answer the question! What's so great about defined benefit retirements anyway? It seems every one of them including the TWU's own plan's are underfunded and fixing to collapse. If the government agency that backs up these plans folds (which looks likely to happen), what good was the so-called defined benefit? We could argue all day about defined benefit vs. 401k retirement plans. They both have their pluses and minuses. At least with the matched dollar for dollar 401k retirement plan(ALASKA'S) you can have some control over your money.
You're just not very smart are ya'. How's that massage business workin' for ya'??? I do appreciate your effort but it's amfa saturated!! 😉

I can't argue with you, because you don't make much sense, no offense, I blame the kool-aide!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! With those kind of facts, I'm suprised the AMFA drive ever got started. If I can't answer someones question, I'll keep these words in mind. Usually I try to research and come to a conclusion.
Keep up the good work twu............your end is near!!!

dosent an Alaska new hire have a choice between the old pension plan OR the matching 401k plan?

How Many Days Left Until Amendable Date?

Where is the "snap-back" clause to protect us when the economy in booming and profits are soaring?

January 1st, 2009 is a long long time away!

No cheetah new hires at Alaska Airlines do not have choice of Pension Plans. Last year in their contract arbitration Alaska Airlines won on all four issues and now amfa members have a B Scale at Alaska Airlines. Anyone hired now, do not have a Defined Pension Plan they have to take a 401 K Plan. After the beating that my 401 K took over the last few years I do have a lot of sympathy for their new hires.

James T.,

Why is it, when the membership at Alaska approves a contract overwhelmingly that includes binding arbitration despite the National's warning and opposition, then guys like you claim this is "AMFA's" fault? But when we discuss the current "industry leading concessions" at AA, the "members voted for it", therefore we should not be upset about this?

It just seems to me that you hold your own current representation to a much lower and different standard than you wish to hold AMFA.

Can you explain this different standard for us?

The TWU does not feel that they have to explain themselves or their decisions to anybody. Just sit back and do as you are told or they will claim that you are anti-union.

Isnt that right CIO, TWUer, Drippy et al?
