Is it me or have we been having way more inadvertent slide deployments since we started the monitor and challenge procedure?

Also, be careful on the 737 because the other day the slide looked like it was coming out so after disarming the 1L door I showed the other f/a and informed the captain before opening the door just in case anything were to happen. I didn't want to be blamed for it even though it was disarmed and we did the silly monitor and challenge procedure. Then the agent pointed to it and told me the slide was coming out. Sigh. Also, it makes no sense whatsover to disarm the 1R first then the 1L because there have been times when the agent was knocking on the door before we even had a chance to disarm the door. You want to talk about panicking.

don't be critical of the "monitor and challenge" procedure.
NASA devised that. HP is a very sophisticated carrier. they have the aqua green and orange livery to prove it...

I stand corrected. 😉

How many have we had this year?

Any idea of how many we had before M&C?

I have noticed that either I am paying more attention to the ISD notices the company is putting out or the company is giving out more information about the ISDs. Either way, I am more aware of the ISDs that have happend, but I haven't kept count.

I sent the question to About US, maybe the answer will appear in the Q&A section.

Edited to add: CBS today says 11/24 the 14th FA slide deployment occurred. Not a total count of all ISDs, just those due to FA error.
