Here is a pertinent quote for you:

"Go sell crazy somewhere else, we're all stocked up here"

lol.  but it makes the reading pretty funny.

That much is without question. From anything even approaching a professional military perspective: This was never set to be an actual, no-holds-barred war to be won. We've not seen that since 1941-'45. How could it ever have possibly been? After all; we've nowadays the finest "government" that disgusting saudi and the sick like's money can buy...? We should pull ALL remaining Americans out immediately, if but to save us from more wasted lives lost, especially since no help will be given our previous "allies" in the region, but this buffoon obama yet insists on playing games, every bit as much as did his equally-brain-dead predecessor...just meat puppets heeding the call of their corporate, versus ANY semblance of the American People as masters. It all just makes me nauseous to even think about it anymore.
Sadly we threw in with the Saudi's as a way to keep the oil flowing and the Dollar as the worlds reserve currency through the Nixon/Kissinger/Saudi scheme known as the Petrodollar. Iran, Iraq and Libya valued their oil in Euro's and two fo the three leaders of this sovereign nations are dead and their countries in chaos.

IMO: You wouldn't "sacrifice" your life for anything. You would run and cower at so much as the sound of a firecracker. As a properly pathetic, little sheep, you've previously almost "bragged" about being the helpless victim of a mugging, and that even with a lady to presumably, if you were a "man", defend at your side. How did that work for you?  Refresh our collective memory...? Didn't that experience just amount to "Waah!..Mommy!...I'm HELPLESS!" for you? I'll wager the lady was mightily impressed with you, most especially as you both cowered and handed over anything your assailants wanted and just hoped for their tender mercy...? Sigh!...Spare us all your supposed notions as to "sacrifice". One can't "sacrifice" any supposed "life" one's never actually had the spine to live.

Indeed. Little known trivia? = The "king" of saudi-ville in '90 offered up a thousand dollars to every US person in theater, only to be turned down by our own then "king george", since "We aren't mercenaries." Yeah...Riiiight. The American People most certainly aren't supposed to be any damn mercenary forces, but WTF's been in ANY of this bloodshed for America? I'll always recall a "campfire" discussion after the killing stopped in '91: "Gentlemen...Just why don't we take this whole damn place over and keep the oil?" That, amazingly enough, wasn't my suggestion, but no "nays" were to found anywhere. 😉

I was reading that Saudi subjects are funding ISIS.  Damn good allies.

To bad we did not follow Carters advice to wean our self off our dependance.  Would have been better if oil prices would have remained high.  OH well.

Dying on your feet versus living on your knees is a concept that is quite foreign to many. Part of the problem is those damn Jihadists actually believe the above to a greater degree then we do..

1) I'd have as soon seen them dead as any area "ally". We all knew them to be cowardly and treacherous "jokes" even back in '91. What's your point? The kindest term I ever heard anyone assign to the saudi "military" was "speed bumps". They even had one, American-equipped F15 "pilot" fly "his" plane off and defect, such was their "strength of character".

2) Great idea!...Umm...Too bad we didn't anymore have the Panama Canal and Okinawa to give away, to better "strengthen" America, since "president" Jimmy Peanut had already done that.

LOL...Thanks for the chuckles there, but I have much more adorable, cuddly pets with far more teeth and respectable claws than you offer to play with, so you're just outta' luck. 😉

Pretty much, especially when anyone's merely existing, versus Living any semblance of a "Life," and even that little fragment solely in Fantasyland:

You and yours make that more clearly obvious with every post. I could almost feel sorry for your "side" here. 😉

The the demise of Iraq has nothing to do with the ill advised invasion and removal of Hussein?  Escalate?  No chit Cpt Obvious.  Iraq will tear it's self apart and if they are lucky they will end up in three territories controlled by their local residents instead of the BS country designed by short sighted bureaucrats.  Nothing is going to fix that.

So how long do you want to stay in Iraq?  How many US lives is Iraq worth?  What more could be done in the next 10 years that could not be done in the first 10?  Do you really believe that peace can be achieved in Iraq?

Not you, South, PHX, Knot or any one else has volunteered an answer to that question?
I want out of Iraq Afghanistan Egypt Libya I don't want in Syria or Ukraine. Hell I even want our troops out of Korea. What else do u want to know?

To answer your question, I'll simply ask of you this: Since you supposedly, so much "care" about people...Would you willingly die to save, say 100,000 Iraqi people? If not/WHY not?...Aren't you all about "caring" for others? 😉
How does one answer a question with a question?
