What's new

Is It True?

It makes sense for BBB to go to Spirit, since it looks like he'd be the president there and, more importantly, would get a generous option package for when privately-owned Spirit does its IPO. The bad news for US is that both airlines are building up FLL, and NK has lower costs.

And now they have a guy who knows exactly what the next moves US Airways is considering should Phase 1 go well. Sounds like a perfect fit for Spirit.

A corporate transaction for any legacy carrier would require venture capital, There could be news regarding a deal in the not-so-distant future, but nothing will probably happen until US Airways gets its finances in order and emerges from bankruptcy.

...Which it still hasn't done since prior to its first BK when this topic was discussed at length.

Maybe when US Airways' house begins to appear in order, opinions will change. While total costs are down, so is total revenue... And unit costs (CASM) are not even near the levels needed or anticipated by management. Maybe 4Q04 results will show some movement in that area, based largely on the decline in fuel from record highs, and supplimented slightly by new union contracts (most of which were not approved until very late in the quarter).

Tell BBB to take AL Kremmlin with him!

Dont' let the door hit your backsides boys on the ways out!

B@$tards!

It was ONE person that brought it to Senior Management and that person is also responsible for the FLL focus city decision. I know because I met the person. Analysts may have crunched the numbers but one person had to tell them what numbers to crunch

That person would lead you to beleive it was all his idea, however it was a collective decision of a number of indivduals. With the person taking credit for it actually a second row particiapant, brought in after the decsion was pretty much made.

You have no frigin clue who I am, so do not speculate, I have no responsibilty for PHL customer service and I agree it needs some help and beleive me many people are focused on it, however my part of the business is running just fine. Finally the only posts I respond to are the ones were you mis-state the facts as you just did in your post.

Seems like PineyBob, struck a nerve.

By the way real world, if you part of the business is running fine then why is US in bankruptcy for the second time in less then two year?

Give heck Piney!

How do you know what happened, if it's not your part of the business?

By process of elimination, I can only conclude that you must either be in the "late baggage" department, or the "coloring Seth's hair" department, since everything else in the joint does not seem to work very well...

Baldanza would understandably like to run an airline and nobody cannot be replaced. ...

Yeah, I used to think that everyone can be replaced too, but I am no longer convinced. Neither do I think that everyone should be replaced.

the time for reasons is gone! Time for results!
Just exactly when can we as customers expect to see them???
[post="238709"][/post]

If you haven't seen "results" then you ain't looking, and apparently don't recognize the "effects" brought about by the "causes".

Cheers,

Yeah. I'll bet accounts payable is easy these days--just flip vendors the bird and send the bill to Arnold and Porter.

I thought it was "Pineys greatest mistake is to try to do something when in reality he can do nothing"
