It's so over.. deal is dead

Maybe Delta can, but I can assure you US Airways couldn't care less about the welfare of their employees. This thing craps out and you guys at Delta can breath easier.

"Oppressive" is about the only word I can think of to describe current life here at US Airways.

Then LEAVE!!!!! Nobody has a gun to your head. MANY have left the "oppressive " airline industry and are free at last. Just remember that many have left and now feel more oppressed than ever.

Ok, if it is true that Congress, Bethune, and DL Creditors hate everything US, let's focus on this cool little airline we have here: USAirways. Let's negotiate fair contracts with our current employees, let's fix a broken onboard service model, and let's make sure that we have a solid plan B going forward. K? 😉

Sounds like a plan that will eventually lead to EVERY airline then wishing they could buy or merge with US!

It is amazing how common sense can run a multi billion dollar company....uhhh, can we say SW.

Delta Could Care Less For Their Employees..Just Ask My Partner!!

Word from a chief Pilot in JFK is that Tempe may pre-empt its official Feb. 1 deadline later this week by pulling the offer off the table due to "debtor resistance". How true his statement was, tough to say, but it certainly seems like things have begun to happen behind the scenes.

While i am elated that the deal appears dead, i respect Mr. Parker's tenacity. If the deal had gone thru, he would go from CEO of the 6th largest US airline to the worlds biggest. Even by "losing" he wins because he made Delta sweeten its offer to the debtholders.

Now both airlines can get back to business, and they can start by taking care of the employees who have made all this possible.

Well, If YOUR Chief Pilot Said It...Then It MUST Be True!

Sounds more like Hitler to me. We all saw how that ended.
Don't compare people to Hitler: Andy Warhol once said that, "In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes." Well, the future's here and you could just as easily say that everyone gets compared to Hitler for 15 minutes. Comparing someone to the mustachioed madman is meant to be a biting insult, but it's such an overreaction that it generally reflects more poorly upon the person making the comparison than the target of the insult. After all, if you indicate that someone is like Hitler over some sort of minor disagreement you have with them, the implication is that perhaps you don't really think Hitler was all that bad of a guy. So people should think long and hard before they make that Third Reich comparison.

Any guesses who The Lark Ascending is?

Maybe Bruce Ashby..

Since all the rest of 'former' white collar thieves have left!
And a few remain. 😉 .

That is funny! Thanks for the laugh! She is self-employed and loves her boss! 😀 I'm sorry to destroy the intrigue and mystery, but I've no employment association with any airline.

Amen to that....maybe when this calms down, doogie can ask Delta to show him how to be more customer friendly.

I flew Delta mainline last night for the first time in many years and couldn't believe the difference compared to US. And OMG....a clean plane....even the lav!! And this was an MD88 in coach. Looking forward to FC on the flight home. All I could think about was wait till doogie & company gets their hands on this airline....ATL won't recognize them. For their sake I hope they keep Delta their Delta.
