What's new

It's so over.. deal is dead

Then LEAVE!!!!! Nobody has a gun to your head. MANY have left the "oppressive " airline industry and are free at last. Just remember that many have left and now feel more oppressed than ever.

Don't want to leave...want things to CHANGE!!!!!

I'm doing my part, but management is only interested in the status quo...or buying Delta.

Makes money I guess...for now.

And where do you suppose US Airways will find this "Common Sense" seems like it's missing now?

There was a time and I have stated this repeatedly that the talent to fix US Airways was jammed up in middle ranks of management. That is no longer the case. The true talent that had the answers to the "Problem inside US Airways" and to fixing it are almost gone. They have left in droves and are utilizing their talents elsewhere making other companies money while U has promoted the management equivalent of "Dumb and Dumber". All one needs to do is to look at CLT. What was once a huge talent pool has dwindled to a scarce few and even they will be gone in short order. The ones that are promoted have no vision, no strategy on making their "ideas" work let alone a stragedy that is worth expanding on and they are plain and simply just dumb.

You GO BRO!

My feelings exactly. I'm sure we aren't the only ones.
It has been better. It's been a long time and I've never seen it this bad before. Opressed, was a good word for it.

Don't compare people to Hitler:

...

The above quote was part of an article in the Right Wing News

Interesting theory, but one I will dismiss. Hitler was a bad guy, period. Although others might argue his contributions to a modern German society, he was, in the end, a abusive and destructive megalomaniac. And that's putting it nicely.

This analogy just gets better and better.

Hitler's name doesn't belong anywhere near this board. The only real example his legacy can produce is to say that the world would have been a very different place if he were a better artist.

Well I don't know if it's dead but it's certainly on the respirator.

Reading the "Tea Leaves" though it makes one wonder if they (DL) aren't positioning themselves to be aquired by someone else? Or position US as a fall back if they flounder??

How so? Delta has long since maintained that it wished to be the acquirer in any industry consolidation.

Everybody has a price and so does Delta.

I don't disagree with that at all. It is just my opinion that if DL exits BK as a stand alone, it will have more say in who it merges with. If the US deal falls through, I don't believe another suitor will emerge prior to DL exiting BK.
