JetBlue Fleet Size

How many planes does JetBlue have in their fleet? How many planes does JetBlue plan on taking a hold of this year?

Current fleet is 37 Airbus A320 aircraft with 13 more to be delivered in 2003.

Current contracts with Airbus amounts to an eventual fleet of 132 A320's.

Neeleman mentioned in jetBlue's conference call this morning that they might try to accelerate the delivery of one or two additional A320s in Q4 of 2003. This would in addition to the announced number of 13 aircraft.

Last I heard is that the discussions are still very much alive but not to look for anything until '04-'05. This is just hearsay FWIW.

The 320.5 is already in service with some airlines. It's designation is the 737-900.

In French the 737-900 has the designation A321
