What's new

JFK Expansion?

actually, I think that's part of the plan.

Yeah...rather than trying to provide flow traffic for the new JFK international routes, DL's sinister plan is really to tie up ATC and keep other carriers from beating them in on-time figures. I'm sure that the competition's on-time percentage is so much more important to DL than filling its new international routes with yielding traffic. Thanks for clearing that one up. 🙄

Does this plan make sense? On paper perhaps, but the same has been tries before. Eagle/DAL Express used to fly from Central New York years ago to JFK, then dropped it...

And DASH 8's...cannot take bags and pax...believe me, I know, as I and several co-workers commute from CNY to PHL...

Thankfully, MESA is NOT flying CNY anymore. (Ask CLT commuters about Mesa). Just using MESA as a feed will doom the operation!!!

But maybe the plan is to screw up Jetblue's operation...Hopefully it'll work better than "waiting for US Airways"...to go out of business 😉

What a management team you have at DAL! (top notch employee team though!)

I read on another board that JFK-RIC has been upgraded from a buzz bucket to a barbie jet, and that the start of service will be moved up to July from September.

The MESA part will no doubt be an operational nightmare.

We shall see......

Some flights like Kiev and Budapest are innovative but Manchester and Dublin have been served before, I wonder why service was discontinued? poor loads, oh could that be it. Atlanta-Nice is another recycled route coming back from the dead. Why they ever stopped Lax-Tokyo is my number one question? AA had the balls to takeover that route as well as jfk-Tokyo and are atill flying them today. What a concept, flying from the two biggest cities on each coast to the number one city in Asia. Delta's southern gentleman ways don't do it service it todays dog eat dog world.
