Both Passenger Service and Fleet Services at JFK, were and still are processing and training new employees at JFK.

Does anyone have a clue?

Makes no sense. But, then that isn't really one of the business activity parameters around here, is it?

Rational application of business sense never was an admired quality at AA, but no airline (not just AA) has ever been accused of being properly managed. Some are better managed than others but that's really not much of a compliment.

Look at it this way - normally, you'd have to drive to a club and pay a cover charge to get in to be entertained.

At American Airlines, you drive to 'work', walk in, and are usually presented with some entertainment; even though it's of rather low quality, you're still getting paid to attend the comedy club. Hard to beat a deal like that considering today's gasoline prices, even if you do get mad at them occasionally.

Now - if they'd just start serving drinks, ...

Back when I was at JFK, nobody wanted to transfer in and the turnover rate on agents was near 5O% in their first year. Same thing at MIA .

So even when there were layoffs elsewhere, JFK & MIA kept hiring... Some things never change.. .
