Well, then Mr. Parker has his work cut out for him.
Somehow, the PI/PSA/AL merger created a Frankenstein.
I know for a fact there were clear and accessible lines of communication at PI.
After the merger, the my-way-or-the-highway attitude became very apparent at the top of the food chain.
Over the years, and with the rise of certain folks from regional directors to VEEPs, the rot spread all the way to the station level.
In my early years, I had respect and confidence for the bulk of my management, from station manager to CEO.
As the rot spread downward, I first lost confidence in the executives, then middle management, and finally, station managers and supervisors.
It is no exaggeration to say the last handful of managers I had, save one, would NEVER have passed their 6 month probationary period at PI, and would have been shown the door.
Moreover, the lack of ethics is appalling. I know of a case where even the labor relations rep admitted a CSM had lied in a grievance hearing. Guess what? The rep ruled for the CSM anyway. That is routine at U.
I am rooting for HPUS to survive - I have many friends counting on it for a job.
You saw what the merger did to PI. Do NOT let it happen at HP.
OTOH, the frontline employees are first rate. They have saved US from operationally imploding, and have kept the customers coming back in spite of management.
They are thanking their gods that someone is about to replace CCY.
My advice - don't stop there. Dig deeper.
Best of luck.
