Did we have any early info regarding June attrition from Mark yet?

June attrition was a healthy 91. Let's keep those big numbers coming! In addition 27 more TWA FA's retired from furlough status.

Well, I kept hearing from senior f/as I know at DFW to expect major retirements in the summer, but then I've heard that from them as long as I've been at AA--my vast career of 4.5 years.

The average AA attrition up until June was a steady 40 plus and June waas double that. It still isn't high enough to warrant cancellation of leaves but every bit helps. I keep hearing from JFK commuters on my flights that no leaves were offered for JFK and that AA is bidding for a DFW-Beijing route to be flown next year? True?

Trying to be hopeful at number 78 on the recall list.

Just got my latest Skyword rag in the mail and our fearless leader doesn't seem too optimisitic about recalls...... Hope she is wrong.

Why would she be optimistic about recalls when she continues helping the company find ways to reduce staffing?

Well, the truth is that we are, in fact, overstaffed in most bases. They just announced that full month bid leaves would be available for August in all bases except SLT and DCA-D. If bid leaves are available in a major vacation month, there are too many f/as chasing not enough lines.

The June attrition numbers have been posted to the website.

The "official" number is lower than MK's. But, that doesn't always mean anything. Some of the people leaving may not have been processed in time to be counted in the "official" June numbers.

46 Domestic
38 International
84 Total

23 years - Average Seniority of those leaving

30 Retirees
Avg. seniority 32 years.

However, even though the chart listed 30 retirees, the list of retiree names had 31 people on it--all showing a June retirement date?!?!
