June Recalls

IMisstheAladdinTrays - Thanks for the help.

Just got the numbers from PHL Inflight...

The most Junior awarded in each base and their Training Date is as follows:

PHL - 94179 - (Training Date: February 28, 2000)
DCA - 95892 - (Training Date: August 21, 2000)
LGA - 96721 - (Training Date: January 8, 2001)
BOS - 96732 - (Training Date: January 8, 2001)

It was necessary to go through 819 names out of 1300 on the furlough list to fill the vacancies over the four bases listed above.

Congratulations to all those who were able to successfully return for the June recall.

Does this include you?!?! Hope so!

Sorry...I'm sure on the next one you'll get it!

It's a possibility if there were another decent sized recall. I'm thinking possibly 200 and my # would likely be reached. In the meantime however, I think I'm going to try Continental...

I haven't seriously pursued an airline job since I was furloughed back in 2001, (except for getting hired at JetBlue in 2003 and turning it down...just didn't seem right at the time, and have no regrets) I'd like to try again...but for me...it's between CO and US only (whichever happens first). I'm just not willing to relocate a great distance and start over for the umpteenth time in my life for an airline...as much as I'd like to give the job one last shot.

But I'm a firm believer in everything happening for a reason and that a divine source guides your destiny...so whatever will be will be.

Thanks for the kind words. 😉

continental is your best bet. if i had to start all over again , it would be with them. good luck .

Anyone one have any idea what date the training classes will start?

I heard June 1 but nothing official yet.

Just wondering. A few FA's over on the West will be coming back East on this recall. What will the company do for those that have a trip ending in PHX on May 31st and then need to be in CLT for training in the morning on June 1st....

I doubt all 90 will be in training on June 1st.

I thought that would be an awful big class too... So if a West FA is recalled on June 1st, but has a class date of June 15th, will they be able to continue working on the West side until the 15th? or will they become unemployed for those 2 weeks? The company is not very forthcoming with information...

They should go on the payroll June 1st...minimum guarantee.

Thanks flyguy121 for the info you were able to obtain.
A little surprised that nothing has been put on the HUB yet and still waiting to hear official info from the union.
Anyone get any info about training, like how long it will be? Will it be in CLT? Will all 90 be going through at the same time?

Last year it was spread out through the month of June. MDA people went on duty June 1st because they were current (the company wasnt clear on this so many people were out of base- oops!) The other folks had whatever training they required lumped together consecutively throughout June. DCA LGA BOS F/As will only need requal and merger training, PHL based F/As will need requal, merger, A330, E190, and international service training. They pay you your guarantee while you await training dates. If you are qualified but need A330, E190, and IST you will still be on duty, just unable to do transatlantic, A330, or EMB flying.

Training is in CLT. All programs are one day each except requal which I have no idea because I didnt have to do it. I want to say its 5-6 days, and maybe merger training is integrated into it now. Make sure you call training records and clarify exactly what training you do or do not need... there was alot of confusion last year.

Welcome back, cant wait to see everyone!
