Juvenile Attitude=juvenile Pay

Having been in this industry 15 years, I am ashamed to see how juvenile we have become. And we want to be treated like professionals? Yeah, right! I see people posting whining baby photos on this site. Then, when I venture on to the-mechanic.net, I see these asinine cartoons depicting Delle-Femine with an upside down AMFA sign. When I go on the-mechanic.com, never have I seen such sniveling in all my life, not to mention typographical spelling errors. I hope we fix airplanes better than we spell. Finally, I go on amfanuts.com and read ex-IAM officers crying over the fact they lost their "sweetheart deal" union gig to AMFA. No one cares anymore. I am seeing fully vested employees (20+ years) quitting aviation and venturing on to other job markets. The writing is on the wall. Do yourself a favor and start looking for another job. In the near future, I hope we are bought out by a profitable carrier so we can experience how it feels to only receive 25% of our accrued seniority, much like the injustice done to the TWA personnel. That my friends would be poetic justice.

Most on the people who write on these boards are concerned about the direction of out industry. We at AA have different perspectives of how to improve our working lives. Are we all wrong or are we all right!

Many are frustrated at what they see and lash out! It is proven by the different discussion boards that the Amfa members are sponsoring. Even if they change the name it does not solve the Industry as a whole. All we can hope to achieve is to select the best avenue we believe is right.

Basically here at AA with the TWU they have chosen to employee more members to help their families for the long term.

While Amfa has chosen the short term goals for monetary value at the expense of the low senior members.

To each individual they have to make the choice what is right for them. The members in Tulsa have retained the majority of the officers with the belief they did the right thing last year! Is this wrong! The members decided! I dont believe condeming their actions is the right thing to do.

Yes Kevin this is wrong even if they counted the majority of the ballots if they eliminated any ballots because they did not want the opinion of some you had the few dictating to the rest again. Even your own supporters don't believe only 54% participated and they are humiliated by the hole out come. You might try going with the popular opinion every once in a while and just see how it works out. You will find the world did not end because of it and you have members will fill they are in control of there future. But The twu will not change they will continue to control the outcome of the lives of the many and try to make excuses for it. You are the spokes person for us not our leaders read your local by-laws. NO VOTE  NO PEACE!!!!

Cio:

You say that the TWU has chosen to employ more members.

Once again, I ask you, how much are you willing to give back before you say enough is enough?

Why don't we all wotk for $15.00 an hour and have 100% employment?

There has to be a point when working for what someone is willing to pay you just isn't worth it anymore.

You are correct about one thing! The TWU has chosen to employ more members. But not mechanic members. Since 1983, the TWU has chosen to employ more members by taking away mechanics' work.

You know MOTP, we may not come across as being very intelligent and we may be fragmented and pulling in different directions, but if we had XYZ union representing us then we would all be one big happy well paid family. <_<

What about the topic?

The Cartoons, Childish Behavior, and Images of Whining Juveniles?

Not one of the offenders appear to want to address the topic as presented.

I wonder why?

The twa mechs were lucky to get a job much less any seniority. This industry is flooded with X Pan American, Eastern, and Tower mechanics who really got a raw deal.
How about the TWA mech with 20 years who saw the writing on the wall quit twa got hired with American and now has less seniority then the twa mechs who got thier 25 percent. That is BS.
Poetic justice would have been to let twa go out of business and for American to pick up what was left.

There is no winning on this issue. Ones point of view depends on who his employer is or was. The only way to have seniority in this industry is to use the date on your Airframe and Powerplant License. That is the only answer.

If you dont like what you see on the boards go read a book squeeky balls.

That is a true statement. The twu would rather lower the living standard of thousands in order to keep the dues money flowing. That is why the twu is the leader in concessionary contracts. That is also why the profession of the AMT is no better than that of a cabin cleaner aircraft fueler or lav truck driver. But thank the gods of ATD we all have jobs.

The devastation of this industry by the TWU started with the implementation of the two tier wage scale. The sole purpose being to maintain as many dues paying members as possible, no matter the cost to the wage and benefits of the membership.

Every contract since the implementation of this two tier system has resulted in concessions for the membership and work rule gains for the company. Not once in the last twenty years has the TWU stood their labor ground.

This system of continual givebacks which has infected the industry and continues to spread, was brought on by the greed of the TWU International and Sonny Hall. It is surely a good thing that he is retiring.

The sad part of the TWA situation is that many of these fine people have only been left with one choice. Which is to wait for there newly gained retirement from American. But what is the cost to the original American employee?

The continual retreat by labor, lead by the TWU has had a broad effect on all mechanics in the industry. The socialistic base of this organization has truly been successful in implementing it's goals.

<--------------------------- Yeah they do...now grab a handful ya loser.

buck, you are wrong AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the two tier thing was started by an airline called El Al Israel Airlines.
i asked you before if you read the book.......guess not "buckhead"
TWU had nothing to do with it...............
as your SCABMASTER dAAve would say "get the facts"
fact #1 amfa(puke) sucks
fact#2 amfa (puke) destroyes jobs..like 9,000 nw/ua O,yeah not your fault
fact#3 amfa(puke) does not represent their members in arbitration.
fact#4 amfa(puke) is not a union!!!! it is an ASSOciation
fact#5 amfa(puke) being an ASSOciation can bust UNIONS & will by LIES!!!!!!
fact#6 amfa(puke) will have NO VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!
fact#7 amfa(puke) will do all & anything they can to try to bust AA
fact#8 amfa(puke) leadership will not go to their locals to listen to the membership they lied to, to get their vote.
fact#9 amfa (puke) WHAT PART OF UNION DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND? :)

TWU/AFL-CIO/ATD=SCABFREE :) don't ya love it?????? :)
did you see the pix i sent dAAve? pretty cool huh? yeah i liked it too :)

here is something else to consider man of the people.
look around @ what the amfa(puke) people have done. EVERYTHING they touch they DESTROY!!!!!!!!!!! simple as that.
look @ the airlines they so called represent ALL are destroyed ask those a&p's at those airlines what good their a&p is now. the market is FLOODED WITH LAID OFF A&P'S . you can't get around it........................ask them about amfa(puke) ask if they would vote them in again 99% would say NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nmb says NO VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what does amfa(puke) say " no vote ,no peace"
what does that tell you???????????
15 years? sorry but that would NOT be enough for you to stay. you would be one of 16,000 more mechs out there looking for a job. you go amfanuts? do this
ask the first president @ NW why he didn't want to be pres. again he resigned.....
didn't want to be part of it any longer because he COULD NOT get the amfa(puke) leadership to come & help. why? they (amfa) (puke) wants to SPEND ALL they got to get AA. O yeah now they're trying to stop the RO. little late i think so sad......
this web site is a good example how many UNION people do you think are on here?
look @ all the SCABS..they talk about unions but they are union busters/people destroyers/community destroyers. thats all they know.
i agree with you & i've told them all if you don'like AA go to nw/ua/ala/horair/sw
southwest is a stroy in itself but, another time...............
TWU wants peace but, you have amfa(PUKE) out there who will continue to try to destroy YOUR future. Man of the People you say? there are two kinds of people out there. winners & losers.........................................
TWU=WINNERS...............:)
amfa(puke)=LOSERS,LOSERS,LOSERS,LOSERS,LOSERS ask dAAve how he liked the pix i sent him....... :)
TWU/AFL/CIO/ATD =SCABFREE...............don't listen to their lies motp.
BACK TO THE BASICS...SCRAPE THE SCABS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
