Since Kalitta doesn't have its own forum I thought I'd pass this on here.

From the story: "Four of the five crew members on board the Boeing 747 were slightly injured and were hospitalized, said Jan Van der Cruysse, spokesman at Brussels Airport."

Look closely at the photo. The 747 actually broke into thirds, not halves. The entire tail section has also separated from the rear of the fuselage. That was one lucky crew!
 
I used to work for them, does'nt surprise me.....
 
The cause of this crash will be interesting to discover.

What say you it was improper loading?

I am surprised all the unionists on this board haven't jumped on this topic.

Quite a sight!

It's interesting that the thread you mention is already over 200 posts, while this one is at less than 10....

I guess no one ever checks out the Cargo or Foreign threads?
