In a move to fulfil his much-publicised dream of flying a Kingfisher aircraft on the global aviation map, Vijay Mallya has said he has registered a company called Kingfisher International in the US and aims to start operations by mid-2007.

"We have registered a company in the name of Kingfisher International in the US and we will be flying to India and other international destinations, provided we get all necessary approvals at the right time," the liquor baron told reporters here.

"Most probably it will happen in mid-2007," Mallya said, adding, he would be using Airbus A330 aircraft for his international venture.

Mallya had withdrawn from the race to acquire the ailing Air Sahara airline a few days back. The airline was eventually acquired by the country's biggest private airline, the Naresh Goyal-promoted Jet Airways.
