Keep in mind the next few months lots of the changes will be designed to simplify and to get everyone on the same page. That is a huge part of being a LCC.
Some of these thing will undoubtly be revisited in a year or two but for this to work in the short term it is critical to get as many effecencies as possible.
This managment is very open to frontline suggestions. Look no further than the new Livery when HP flight crews said that dark blue is going to be murder in Phoenix. Give your new management team a chance and when you see oppourtunity to improve something let them know. It has to make sense $ wise. But if you can show them a savings, a payback in a year or for customer enhancements no new cost (or little) they will be more than happy to do it.
By the way I am getting 2 new US VPs in my chain of command which adds some concearn as to my future, but I have faith that DP is going to make this succesful and I will give them every chance at success.
I'm "ON BOARD".

I also am very eager for this merger. I think one of U's major problems has been *not* keeping it simple. Too many layers of bureaucracy, too much unnecessary paper, a (from what I've been told) complex and difficult to use computer system.

Yes, let's start a KISS campaign! Keep it Simple, Sweetie!

Funny that you mentioned this example. I was the one who mentioned this to Doug Parker during the employee forum on the evening of the merger announcement in Tempe. I asked if there was a possibility of creating a new corporate image with a repaint of the fleet. At first, Scott Kirby said no, they were not looking to create a new paint scheme. Then I mentioned that although the current USAirways image is a beautiful one, you would be able to fry eggs in the Flight Deck if they sat on the tarmac for any extended period of time in Phoenix or Las Vegas. The whole room burst into laughter and Doug then said that they "would look into it."

Well, here we are a few months later and it is nice to know that Doug does take his employees suggestions into consideration.

I agree. I sent a e-mail to the merger q&a desk about putting the inflight merger customer info video on awacompass so that it would create a place for the employees to get a personal copy. Reason: so that the tapes would be less likely to stolen off the a/c for nostalgic reasons. It's been on compass since the early part of this week, and on kpho.com since the weekend.

N903AW, I was thinking of you and your suggestion ('specially the egg reference) when I read the original post, as I listened to that webcast live, so now I know who you are!!
Y'all, N903AW is an outstanding, professional FA!
