It's no great secret that a fair number of NWA management employees received full flight attendant training over the past six months, and had several hundred "contractors" hired off the street and qualified as replacement flight attendants either late last year or earlier this year.

Not sure if/when their quals expired, but getting already-qualified individuals thru recurrent training is far easier to accomplish in a short timeframe than it was getting mechanics trained and certified on NWA's procedures.

jimntx, Did you say "lock-out"? No,no, that won't work. NWA would have to pay unemployment and we all know they don't/won't allow that.

Jim knows far more about Unemployment Compensation than do I; but we both know NW does not "pay" it. UC payments to those who qualify under state laws is from a state fund into which NW pays UC taxes based on past history of UC claims vs taxes paid in each state.
