Latest update on the DLH facility.

Don't you have some Indian nations up that way?

Casino sir. Casino.

The State of MN deserves to be on the hook for this boondoggle since the politicos were the dim bulbs who insisted on placing this faciliy in godforsaken Duluth as a public-works project.

You've already got the largest indoor mall in the world so that option is out. Any Cabelas around there?

That's a great idea...probably enough room for lodging also.

At the time of it's creation, it wasn't a boondoggle. It brought a giant shot in the arm to the Duluth area. Already a viable shipping concern, the city of Duluth was already self-sustaining. The facility was in itself state-of-the-art. The state of MN was doing the right thing "at the time". Now that it is a giant white elephant, nobody will take responsibility. The "blame" rests entirely on the shoulders of DOUG STEENLAND. You want to talk about blunders, it starts AND ends with DOUG STEENLAND.

Nope. The State of MN signed the check to build this thing, not Doug Steenland.

(and I am not a fan of Steenland or any other airline exec who has presided into/over/or out-of a bankruptcy.

Just like the Allegheny County pols who built the new PIT airport for USAir and got burned -- too bad for them!

Indoor baseball park perhaps?

Richard Anderson's legacy was closing down the ATL miantenance base. Steenlands is closing down DLH maintenance base. Each of these greedy monsters have to do something to put their skid mark on the airline.
