“The Federal government shouldn’t allow a company that dumped its pension responsibilities buy another,†said Lautenberg. “US Airways should take care of its employees before taking over another airline.â€
Only if you don't live in NJ!
It's a grandstanding joke, the pensions are gone and the moron knows it. This about promoting a specific agenda, not helping the average worker.
Is he a Dem or a Rep?Only if you don't live in NJ!

Delta mouthpeace probably and idiotic..Usairways made 300 hundred million not five billion. Is he a Dem or a Rep?
Perhaps, but the tide may be changing. The Democrats have been sent to Washington for a reason.
Funny you mention that.....They already are saying everything from Apples to Oranges is Fu**ed up.They were sent to Washington for no other reason than the growing discontent in the Iraq situation. If you remove Iraq from the equation in the campaigns last Fall, the majority would still rest with the conservatives because our economy, unemployment, growth, etc. are all very good compared to any period in our history.
Sen Franklautenburg is a Liberal Democrat from North Jersey.
From his web site:
After graduating from Nutley, Lautenberg enlisted and served in the Army Signal Corps in Europe during World War II. Following the war, he attended Columbia University on the G.I. Bill and graduated with a degree in economics in 1949.
With his military service completed and his education secured, Lautenberg set out to build a career. He joined with two boyhood friends from his old neighborhood to found the nation's first payroll services company, Automatic Data Processing. Lautenberg served as chairman and CEO, and along with his partners developed ADP into one of the largest computing services company in the world.
Looks like another typical grandstanding "Limonsine Liberal" to me. He cashed out of ADP, looked around for something to do got into politics and said to himself, "HMMM Liberal or Conservative, Republican or Democrat??" then he looked at the demographics in New Jersey and decided "YEPPER I'm a Liberal Democrat"
