Vikedog64;
Allow me to agree with you to a point.
No, I don't have a Industry Crystal ball hidden in my cellar, but certain things, about certain carriers are somewhat predictable.
I mentioned AA, NW and WN.
In reverse order, I'll start with WN, the easiest of the 3 to read.
WN, just by their "uninteruppted" earnings, speak for themselves, especially during vicious times like this.
NW,
After reading through NW's EMT/IAM contract(I have a copy), I was really surprised to see how much CO language was written in the NW/IAM contract.
IMHO, should the #### REALLY hit the fan, CO, who in my opinion, has been "A house of cards" financially, for YEARS, GORDO, or no GORDO, will jump in the sack with NW, in a new york minute, no matter what the demands(by NW) are
Yea, Yea, I know ALL about the fleet UN-commonality between NW and CO !!
If NW and CO route systems are combined, there virtuall would'nt be a spot on the globe that they could'nt compete in.
AA,
AA does'nt care much NOW, about CO, or NW. So a combination of those 2 make no difference to AA.
AA would pluck up a bunch of "sweeeeeet" assets from the "deceased" US,UA and DL.
Did someone say, "Well mabey AA would be on the deceased list" ???
After working for AA for near 20 years, I realized that AA was born with a horseshoe up their A$$. Even in the toughest of times, AA always manages to "stay afloat" In other words, AA will NEVER see the inside of a BK courtroom !!
If my prognostication comes true, the world will be controlled by these 3, as far as USA carriers go
USA...................WN..then.. ......AA and NW, in a tie for 2nd
Europe................AA and NW in a tie for 1st
Asia....................NW.....then ........AA
Caribean..............AA.................then ......NW
Central America....AA.................then.........NW
South America.......AA.................then .......NW
Canada.................NW.................then..AA
Alaska...................AA..................then........NW
I might be "off", a "tie" here, or a "2nd" there, but not by much.
I don't want to see oil at $80 a barrell, I don't want to pay $3.50 a gallon for regular. But if it happens, and I think it will, this airline Industry will Finally get the "ENEMA" that it desperately needs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
