LEX station DL mainline?

Im looking at LEX airport activity after yesterday tragic crash, I was surprised to see that DL runs mainline metal into LEX; (I don't mean the 757 extra section which I assume was bringing in DL Crisis Care team). I though that it was strictly a Delta Connection city. How big is DL's LEX operation?

Only 1 DL mainline flight remains at LEX. 9am ATL departure. Operates with a 737-200 until September when it is replaced with a MD88

I didn't even know that DL still used the 737-200! :blink:

Is LEX staffed by DL or a Connection carrier?

I'm pretty sure that Comair handles ground operations at LEX. And I did see the 757 LEX-ATL segment added yesterday. Wonder if anyone was actually on it.

LEX has mainline Delta agents working customer service. I believe the ramp is operated by a combination of Comair and Delta Ground Services. Delta and express affiliates fly nonstop to ATL, CVG, MCO, LGA and DCA. At one time they had nonstops to DFW, TPA and FLL.

I worked at LEX until i was displaced to ILM 5 years ago. In fact, i flew out of LEX on Saturday.
