Line Maintenance Managers

You'll have to wait until Monday for a response from Finny. He only posts on company time. Mods, can we change the categories associated with the number of posts one makes. Finny has admitted he's not a veteran, he has never served in the military and is not a veteran.

I served in the military and I don't defend SCABS...PERIOD!

By any honest assessment Csar is a SCAB and makes way too many references to military service to be credible. I hope he isn't using military brainwashing as an excuse for being a SCAB.

Now days CSAR probably believes that those noising airplanes landing are incoming SCUDS. HIT THE DIRT AND BREAKOUT THE AMMO...here comes another one. LOL

Theres no way in hell I would take a manager position for what little they pay them. Besides, the motivational techniques I have very successfully employed as a leader over the last 20 years probably would be seen as way too politically incorrect around here.

If you're such a leader, walk on over to the de-ice shop, and get those clowns to do their job correctly (yes, I know you're not in GSE, but a true leader would take the initiative)... Our truck spent 3 mos. up there, and now the lights on the bucket don't work, the burners don't fire up, and the Type IV hose doesn't work at all.

Fantastic job, just fantastic.

On the bright side, they managed to wash it, so at least it looks nice. 🙄

Tech, Spock, Pete: Remember when the de-ice shop was an outfit second to none? It's a long way from that now....

CSAR Gyrene: Bottom line; You may have been a great soldier, but you're still a scab, and not worthy of anyone's admiration. Period.

Rant off. Back to the scheduled topic....

I remember Kev. I looked over at hangar I & II the other day and see all them line up "clean & shined", but what will they really operate like? Is this the next "farm out" on the list?

Well, if ours is any indicator, they'll run like sh*t...

Is this the next "farm out" on the list?

I think ASIG was doing them for awhile (maybe just in MSP???), not sure who's doing it now, but they're failing miserably, and the Winter Ops season is just getting started.

By the way, the new policy is "no roadtrips." If your station's truck needs to be worked on, it goes on a flatbed to MSP or DTW.

It's unreal; they took a truck that was in perfect working order, kept it for a awhile, and returned it clean, but completely inoperative.

doesn't that just grab you by the short hairs KEV??

You'll have to explain to me why it matters wether or not I've served in the military. Usually that is only brought up when someone is criticizing the military in some manner. I didn't know that military service was required to support the military. I'm not sure what you're trying to get at with this one.

By the way, I don't post on family time (weekends). Some people play fantasy football, check their personal email or read the news during those few minutes in the day that unions call "breaks". I choose to do be the sole defender of NWA and now apparently US military servicemen.

It doesn't matter to me whether or not you have served in the military. I know you didn't. The veteran remark was not directed at you. It was directed at the mods to re-categorize ratings associated with number of posts. It makes me puke to see the word veteran next to your name on the web board. I realize there are numerous definitions to the word veteran (like the one by your handle); however I was hoping they wouldn't use veteran to label a person who has submitted a certain number of posts. In times of war, Veteran is most commonly taken to mean veteran of mil service and not the myriad of other definitions. I was just hoping they would replace veteran with any other number of titles (like ones used on other boards such as old head, block holder, senior member, experienced poster, blabbermouth, etc.) I just hate seeing the word veteran associated with people who have never served a day in their life no matter how loosely. You can support and defend the military to your heart's content, but don't confuse supporting someone who has served with stirring the pot on US Aviation, especially when you only do it on the company's dime. You're not even willing to contribute on your own time. You can justify your abuse of company time and bandwidth any way you want, but don't try to pass it off as "defending" the company and military servicemen. If you were so concerned with defending NWA and the proud men and women who have served in this great country's military, you could show a little conviction by contributing at a time when it might actually mean something other than passing time at work.

PS. I'm willing to bet most current or former military servicemen (myself included) don't feel like they need the likes of you to defend them. But hey, if it makes you feel good post on.

Ahh, I see. Sorry for the confusion. I guess I'd never noticed the classifications, and didn't make the connection as to what you were talking about. Simple misunderstanding.

As to the rest, I still don't know why it would matter to you when I post. I'm quite puzzled as to why the issue would get raised. I presume it is a misdirection tactic used by those that don't want to debate the issues being discussed, or maybe it's just a fundamental misunderstanding of how a salaried person is paid and the corresponding work-day dynamics involved. I rarely work a 40 hour week, even though my salary is based on that, as there are items that come up that push the workday well past 5pm. As such, a few minutes blowing off some steam in between projects is not "on the companies dime". I get paid to get the work done, and it gets done effectively and on time. That's the give and take of a salaried position. You have more flexibility during the workday and workweek to determine when you work, but often the actual hours of work required to accomplish the positions objectives are more than the 40 hours that you get paid for. Personally, the flexibility in schedule far outweighs the other. Does that help put to bed these silly comments about what time of day a person posts?

Looks like NWA is now hiring Managers at all the stations that used to have line mx. One of these used to be my job as a Crew Chief. Now they will be called managers. No doubt they will be overseeing the swissport or (insert contractor name here) scabs. <_<

Link is here.
Is it me, or have these closing dates been extended?
Wonder why? 😛

Well, on www.nwa.com, they're still accepting resumes for the spots in ANC, DTW, MEM, LGA, EWR and PHL....With a close date of October 14th.

On ACCESS, they showed the original spots for LGA & EWR cancelled.

No sign of MKE, IAH, CMH, PDX or any of the other cities I may have forgotten.

You can bet that the SCAB ranks are filling up the "in-box" at HR. Now that nwa is getting profitable (thanks to the sacrafice of displaced, honorable mechanics) These losers are probably jumping at the chance to be salaried (ala Finny). They will be the ones doing the future pencil whipping that nwa will need to keep flying.

How does this play into the mix.

Hmmmm...

Timco hiring for Line Service MX at Minneapolis.
