I have a vacation package booked for late January. I fly via US Airways. I have an e-ticket. Any advice about preparing for an alternative? Do I worry too much? Do I need to worry? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Yeah, if i were you i'd be very worried! Another sickout will take place between 12/31- 12/3/05! Our next sickout should be enough to put this sorry AirLine out of business! Contact US Airways as soon as possible reguarding your e ticket. Ramp and mechanics WIIL NOT ACCEPT ANOTHER PAY CUT!!

I am flying NWA into philly next week.....will I see any effect from these travel issues with usair, eventhough I am on NWA?

Only if there is a back up with ATC. Otherwise, there should be no affect.

With attitudes like J Miller's is it any wonder good paying American jobs are going overseas and only the cheap paying service industry jobs are all that remain.

With attitudes any less than J Miller's we would have been crushed in WWII.

Attitudes like yours are purely self serving and very transparent.

LOL J Miller--- just another gangster / thug---leave plz. Go to work for the gov. so you can $crew the whole country---then probably be happy.

Totally different generations. The WWII generation grew up during the Great Depression knowing they had to work no matter what. And there weren't any Welfare or Unemployment programs to pay them if they didn't work or intensionally got fired. The time between today's generation and the WWII generation is so great that today's generation can never grasp the realities of that period and events in which the WWII generation grew up in. I doubt today's generation would even have the will to fight, let alone, win a WWII scale conflict. Today, it seems pretty easy to just simply throw your arms in the air and say WTF.

I recommend you read (believe it or not) Tom Brokaw's The Greatest Generation. Your find little comparison between today's generation and the WWII generation.

PHL will operate much better this weekend and J. Miller will get his new contract on January, 6 2005. Moreover, if he is sick again he will likely be terminated and could lose back pay.

Regards,

USA320Pilot

Thanks Firstammendment,

Read you other post about the bottle of white and your exasperation. Smiling when you feel otherwise takes its toll, don't it!? After reading yours and a FEW others, I have a better understanding about the mindset of the folks who are wanting to turn things around. (I'm fairly uninformed.)

People like you are at the cusp of the positive boomerang effect that hopefully will lead to better skies for US Airways.

Other posters here, however, are in the process of '$hi#ing their nest" and I'd hate to hear them whine in person.

I look forward to my trip in January. I hope my FA is you or like-minded.

Chaio!
