Where are the good areas of PIT to live in? And are they close to RIDIC?
Living in PIT....Good areas are in Beaver County. Lower taxes for sure. Allegheny County taxes are thru the roof. Hopewell TWP, Beaver area, Chippewa, Center TWP, would be my picks. But with a little commute down RT22, West Virginia is 20 min away. Twice the house for half the price and lower taxes. Also across the river in Ohio is Steubenville, some nice older homes. PA taxes you for everything. Hope this helps.

Great place to live. I lived there for 17 years and if I ever have to go back to PIT or lose my job I would move back there in a heartbeat. I'm not even from Pennsylvania!
"Pittsburgh" ISN'T all that........trust me! I find the suburbs are a big improvement over what is nothing more than an old, industialized dying city that is trying to revitalize itself in the modern era. I have lived ALL over the country and have never seen so many OLD buildings (literally on top of each other) and many of them should have been bulldozed years ago. It's livable but certainly NOT one of MY favourites.....sorry yunzers, IT's JUST NOT ME! 😉
We used to fly in just to shop at the airport cause there was no taxes on clothing.
