Don’t know how many total Heavy Maintenance lines you have but next contract you should just outsource all of them for cash. Hey maybe after that you can give up some line Stations too? I mean seriously why not.
Bunch of sellout frauds. SCAMFA.
I wouldn't doubt it if they gave up all their out stations on the next contract. I know a couple of maintenance contract managers who manage their outsource operations. Even they dont want to deal with Southwest but hey go ahead and pay the contract companies 2000$ to change a light bulb when you could have your own techs doing it haha. They could have their own techs based there but the company is so cheap, they won't pay for parking at major airports cause its not in the scope of their contract. The guy who they negotiated this new contract has a reputation of doing just that.
Long term outlook for a poorly managed company, under amfa, is not good. Reputation gone, customer satisfaction gone, outdated interiors, lack of branding and co-shares, lack of industry knowledge and utilization of efficiency. Hiring more inbreds in house than one can count. Its either inbreds who manage it or cleaners or a parts runner or a brand new fresh out of school , people who lack industry knowledge. The average mech at that place has a typical knowledge of a peanut.
The era of the end. The last chapter "The downfall of Southwest". All this happening and you give the two most important groups, Pilots and FA stall tactics and not give them a contract while everyone else its almost done. You're just another winter event away from a couple of billions, thats how much a contract is worth.
The damage to reputation and brand already done. Visit the airlinepilotforums and you will see every major airline talks about random stuff, as if life goes on, the exception, Southwest where its full of negativity and angry pilots. How to quit or screw this place. Pathetic place to be indeed.
