Good Old PHL, The only third world banana republic airport that is located in the USA!

An amazing place! I say let SWA have more gates, let's see if it is as I suspect the airport and NOT the airline. Most would concur that SWA is the better managed airline. So let's see what they can do with it moving 3 or 4 times more traffic then they do now.

When the May DOT stats came out, US had a greater percentage of on-time flights at PHL than WN did.

SWA has history on its side in saying "we're outta here" if an airport can't meet operational expectations. Deploying efforts and assets to get the best utilization is SWA's mantra. If PHL doesn't measure up it will find itself on the short list with DEN and SFO, both former SWA cities that were initially promising but dropped because of terminal inefficiencies.

This being said, I hope that PHL realizes that it's on-the-ground services are paramount to keeping SWA and it works to improve it's operations throughout the airport. In this way, perhaps, SWA's presence will indirectly benefit all PHL air carriers and passengers.
