hmmm...question for clarity from anyone.....

I am in the april 3rd class for west, furloughed 11/01, the pay I understand is for the "actual" time that I was flying, ie 11 months, so at west I would make $15.41 or $16.13 hourly???....but heres the million dollar question if anyone can answer it. The two companies are to be under one certificate next year, I get that. So what happens to the pay then, do you jump up to the years pay that you have been with the east or do you stay at the west pay???....I hope I made sense

I hate to say it, but I think that is a question for a union rep, really.

Good luck, and welcome back!

My best guess would be that until a combined contract is reached or you are recalled to East before the combined contract is reached, you will remain on the West payscale.

Once a combined contract is reached that will determine any pay rate changes.

Here's the deal.

You will remain on the "west" payscale until such time as we are intergrated with a "new" payscale. You will remain at a "new hire" seniority until your "old" seniority was able to be recalled whether it been to the "seperate" US or the "new" combined US.

Now, at the point where you are recalled (if we are integrated) you will move to your old hire date seniority for bidding, BUT you will NOT move to a payrate which would match your hire date.

Does that make sense?

Basically if you only had 11 months when you were furloughed and you are "west" for a year before recall..you will be paid at a combined 1 year 11 month pay scale but will slide in at a 2000/2001 (or whenever you started) seniority for bidding.

thanks "twice"...makes great sense.......so there will be a "new" contract with the "new" payscale, etc?!....wouldnt want that job of deciding on "what to pay the f/a's", cos Id give the BIG BUCKS!!!!........ 😀
