Was just informed that there will be more management bonuses.

The latest JLT meeting ended with the local presidents walking out after management agreed to give themselves a nice bonus for the Christmas season.

Untill ALL employees have been returned to full pre-concession pay and benefit levels NO management should be able or willing to accept a bonus or pay raise.

If ANY management personnel takes a pay raise or bonus while the working employees take concessions are simply not in touch with reality. They also do not belong among honorable men and women.

The company challenges the workers to look for profits and ways to cut costs. While the company takes bonuses? That is simply BULLSHIT. :angry:
 
If it's based strictly on the flawed metric of share price within the peer group, it's entirely possible.
 
Talk to your local PREZ or anyone that was at the JLT meeting yesterday.
Considering I don't have a local Prez that would be difficult.

Do you mean additional bonuses above the Stock option bonuses recently announced?

If so I would find that a bit idiotic.
 
I suspect this is talking about the PUP bonus that will most likely pay out in March? Or at least that's the month I remember.

It is based as FM said on share price within the peer group. And since AA is simply a better performing company amongst a group of lousy companies, the plan pays because the share price has risen. That may be a bit simplistic, but I think that's the gist of what it takes to trigger the plan.

While I'm all for recognizing performance, I think the PUP plan as it is designed is flawed.

It has something to do with hitting them where Burchette's hands are.
 
PUP to PSP is all BS..
I am furious..Reinvest in out equipment, or management....but not our labor...

Apparently this new early 2007 PSP bone-us program was announced by upper management in a "Pull it together...To Come Together" meeting. It is alleged that when it was balked at and the union leadership in attendance displayed their disgust, management then decided it would be smart to threaten them. It was supposedly a very serious and alarming threat.

This is how hollow managements words have been since the 2003 industry leading concessions. There is no "Working Together" with a management that is enriching themselves off the backs of the workers that sacrificed BILLION$ to keep this airline afloat. It's typical how big business opperates today....Lie, Rob, Cheat, Steal... and when protests are raised??? Weild the BIG STICK and threaten to beat the already beleaguered frontline employees into submission!!!!

It's already looking to be a F-d Up new yeAAr.
