More passengers at airport in June

The number of boarding passengers at Myrtle Beach International Airport climbed 15.5 percent in June compared with June 2003.

The first half of this year is leading the first six months of last year by 28.1 percent, according to airport records.

The airport boarded 75,210 passengers in June, up from 65,113 during the same month last year.

US Airways was the popular carrier at Myrtle Beach International Airport in June, boarding 20,471 passengers.

Spirit was the second busiest carrier in June, boarding 16,903 passengers.

ASA, a Delta connector with flights to Atlanta, was No. 3 with 9,427.

AirTran came in forth with 7,279.

No. 5 was ComAir with 6,062.

Appears US is setting passenger load records everywhere we fly. And not just US. How strange the majors want to squander away any money that is generated on cheap tickets. Is it possible that if fares went up a couple of bucks, every passenger would stop flying?
