What's new

NE & New England opns/ PVD Incident

I am glad I am not traveling this weekend, the weather and now the wind. I don't mind the weather as uch as I hate a windy, shakey landing.

Glad to hear that everyone was OK in PVD! No sadness for the holidays!

The aircraft was picked up by 2 large cranes, placed back on the runway and slowly towed to a MX hangar. It appears that both PVD's runways are now open.

How long is that runway? Just curious, never flew into PVD.

7,166' for 5/23

Jim
OK Thanks Jim. Here in RDG our longest runway is 6350'. US used to fly in 737's for Boscov's charters to MCO to Disney. Now they get WN to fly them.

With this new rule coming out for 1000' safety zone at the end of each runways, DCA and LGA will be in trouble if they don't get exemptions.

Oh the RDG-MCO Charters. That aircraft would normally Ferry over to Reading from Newark. I would always remember the Pilots Begging the EWR Ops Agents to do the W & B for the RDG-MCO Flight becuase they (the Pilots) were not so good with Manual Weight and Balances. Oh the Good Ole Days.....
