Southwest drops all flights from new England to US Airways' Philadelphia Hub

Just a lot of point to point routes; some stations feature 100-200 daily point to point flights, making numerous connections pretty easy at the nonhub hubs.

US is fighting back??? US dropped alot of flights to Boston from other various airports like Upstate NY. I can't understand why LUV is being merciful to US that it had over a barrel!

My guess is that WN is going full throddle after Delta. Maybe Delta will go after US, instead B)
spoken like someone who truly has no clue.

Yep, one of those 'let's try that!' concepts that trickled down from Crandall to US....called the 'rolling hub' where the a/c keep moving thus making them more efficient, and the pax have variable connection times.
US tried it just prior to LUV moving into PHL and decided against it.
Cheers.
