Need a great career?

NW will get a bunch of thugs like US got.
🙄 🙄 Exactly!! Now remember that NW's current CFO came from US- same mentality he had while at US- no surprise to anyone. Who will they get ? They will get uneducated folks who NEED ajob- any job!

i wouldnt exactly call a job at nwa a great career espeically given mgmt treatment of their front line employees who bust their butts off gettin the planes off on time and the AMFA mechanics who used to maintain the plane. which now are no longer maintained

YUP.
Everyone has the "why bother" attitude lately. If I was doug I'd be like:

GEE WHIZ!

(scratch arse)

I can't understand it! We gave them stale sandwiches in gratitude for their service
(this was our Thanksgiving thank you- remember when we had hot meals?)

And this is what we get!?!?!?!

I got 4 and I called in downline sick because I had uncontrollable diarhea. I thought my intestines was going to come out soon.

The benefits of working at NW.
Your colon is cleansed every so often....

I'm looking for another career option. Any suggestions? I hate to go back into Management again. I rather not. When I saw a pimply manager with zits on his neck the other day.... I started to wonder if that was the best Northwest could get.... or is he some hapless intern in ground ops from Michigan University...

Wow, that brings back a memory. We always had pot luck on Thanksgiving, then one year management said they were going to cater us dinner. Well we always had a feast on "c" gates, Turkey, ham, pies, etc... So what did NW mgt get us that year? Boxed lunches! Turkey sandwiches,an apple, slice of cheese........

 Till someone choked on a "bear claw", what was his name? You the big fat guy that couldn't bend over to tie his shoes? The one that soiled himself and tried to flush his drawers down the only toliet in c-gates? The one that would eat potato salad out of the bowl and then put the spoon back in? What ever happened to that fat slob? The one who took the barfield checker for a walk because he was to stupid to know how to use it? The one who always ask you how you fixed something and then say "yeah that's right"? The guy they named a anti skid spring after? He could b a member of the "A-TEAM"! That FAT F@@K!

You must mean him...

While I'm an AMT at AA, I started on the ramp as a bag smasher. What really grabs me is the fact that the pay is only 9.00hr, When I started it was 8.00hr and that was 21yrs ago, has pay for being on the blistering ramp in summer and in the freezing rain/snow/extreme cold only gone up 1 buck in 21yrs. Seems to me that by the time you figure in insurance, inflation, and now cost of travel to work, it looks like it should actually be 6.00hr.

when i used to work for mesaba i flew to DTW for a couple of days of training. I went over to the hangar the next morning and noticed they were having an "open house" they were doing some hiring. and i couldn't believe how many people showed up!! my guess is NWA will have no problems finding people to work
Sure but how many will pass the drug tests or background checks?

They might get people to show up, getting them to work is another story.
