Hearing a rumor that negotiations with pilots re: the pension plan have taken a turn for the worse. Can anyone provide some info? Certainly at this point in the process we don''t need any delays...
Negotiations at an impasse?

I''m thinking that maybe they see this as a way to expedite this issue to arbitration. They''d be a step ahead if the impasse was formally recognized, even if discussions are ongoing (seems a little (maybe more then a little) dishonest to attempt to declare an impasse when one doesn''t exist).
But pilot spokesman Roy Freundlich said talks are continuing. "We don''t understand why they are making those statements," he said. "We are actively engaged in the negotiating process."
