People, we are coming up on the 3 year anniversary of the concessionary contract expiration date 5/1/2008..
This has become an 8 year deal..

Have you had enough yet?

I've had enough ! If you are not engaged with the AMP drive, please help us get cards signed and let other mechanics know to work by the book.
I don't know what else to do, since we don't have any leadership.

The JFK card drive has gone well. Very good response..
Oh, there is plenty to do. But we ALL need to do our wake up and do it pretty fast. An long as the company thinks we are happy due to no "response," the longer negotiations will drag on.

The members are losing patience with the TWU & AA. I thought we would see a little more agressiveness from the new negotiating team, but it seems to be business as usual. A lot of bark and no bite! Pretty pathetic when it takes a whole week to agree on Article 39 (Fit for Duty). At this pace, I'm predicting a valid (non-concessionary) deal by 2013. 10 friggin years! Just imagine my son was in 2nd grade when the concessions hit, and he's a soph in h.s. today and still without a deal. Congrats TWU! You certainly are one the worst bargaining organizations in labor history. Money well spent guys.

Might be time to take matters into our own hands...this company and union needs to understand our patience has run out!

Stealth mode is key! Too many narks in bed with company. It sure would be fun watching the entire negotiating team go to jail for illegal job action. Oh.......I forgot they don't have the nads to stand behind the troops. Probably sing like canaries to avoid jail time.

Okay anyone who wants to quiken the pace of negotiations then say it with me, "AOI Do Not Call, AOI Do Not Call!!!!

Heres a negotiation update 😀

I'm no longer want anything from TWU . I WANT AMP HERE , RIGHT NOW .
Let's roll then rolis, please spread the word, become involved.
Remeber, when we vote on AMP as our union, the new NMB rule is votes cast, it's no longer 50% of the eligible voters has to participate. This is a huge advantage, NOW is the time for change!

Did you notice this?

GM is also paying bonuses to its non-union white collar employees. Those bonuses could be as much as 50% of a worker's salary in some cases. For the vast majority of those workers, bonuses will be between 4% and 16% of the employee's base pay.

Can't wait to see the gnashing of teeth when those greedy white collar employees get up to 50% bonuses... 😉

Again...the company nor the TWU feel like you mechanics will do anything.
And IMO, working "by the book"...will only get you singled out by management and dealt with individually.

The ball is squarely in you guys' court. You really have only 2 choices, and there's no way aorund this...
You're either going to have to "man up" and go out on strike.
Or get with the program and get AMP in as your representation asap.

I wish was there to help you guys.

How can you get in trouble for working to rule? The company establishes the rule. If the rule alloted times are "slow" it isn't the workers fault.

But, I would have the manual right next to you for verification. Any deviation and you're screwed.

116,480 dollars from May 01, 2003 - May 01, 2011
That would be the magic number each title one mechanic has given to this company.
Congratulations !
I love the fact that this number is twice our base pay. So we actually worked two years for free.
multiply that number by the ten thousand title one guys on the payroll and then you can really throw up
1.16 BILLION
Hows that working out for ya
And they want more
