I wish it was all Boeing.

But I expect US will move up the A330's they have on order and use them as a stop-gap until the A350 is ready.

An article in today's Aviation Daily says that Boeing has topped 500 orders for the 787 and that it is "essentially sold out through 2013." They are looking at ways to increase the production rate in the 2009 and after time frame, which would make some delivery slots available.

Another article about 3 weeks ago in Av week said that
Aeroflot lost/ gave up 15-20 delivery positions for the 787 and then signed for the Airbus. Those might still be in the Boeing bank.

My vote is Boeing wide and Airbus narrow...

Wasn't that due to indifferences between our governments that they cancelled the 787?

Some think that we may go with Boeing but I must ask and forgive me as I'm a coke slinger and not an airline expert. If we go with Boeing what would we do for a/c in the mean time until we got a delivery around 2013? I'm sure as a Airbus customer already we'd get some other widebody a/c until the A350 arrived. As for narrowbody we already have a a big fleet of 320 family a/c. Why would they mix it with boeing to do the same job? That would seem to be adding a new type to the fleet unnecessarily. Again, what the hell do I know. I make drinks and point to doors.

They have A330-200's coming. I am not sure how many but I think its in the vicinity of 10-12.
