Display launch Dec.12, Northwest Worldgateway.

Photos on display in Flight Crew lounges. (pretty nice looking, considering how much they cost employees!)

We in Ground Ops still haven't seen any pics of what ours may/may not look like...Allegedly, we will all be sent pictures of the prospective uniforms via e-mail, and then vote on which ones we like....Roll out is to be in the Spring of '09????

All I really want is for them to bring back the hoodies, and to find a way to get rid of the safety vest (which is actually more dangerous than it's worth, not to mention unsightly once it gets dirty.).

By the way, for no apparent reason, NWA sent our station a poster and fabric swatch of the new F/A uniforms; they look pretty nice.

Can't they do the one piece overall? I think those are great to work in. (collectors, like those fantastic old Pan Am overalls with the Big Blue Globe on the back)

I haven't seen the new fA...somekind of Birdseye design in the fabric? Did they show how the insignia was laid on the sleeves and new wings? (embroidered?)

I have inside info as to the new uniform logo:

Hey Kev, that just made me think. One thing the strike did for me - I never got to wear them. They look like a pain in the butt be to working in. What the hell brought those about? Company knee jerk reaction to the contract ramper that got run over and killed?

Coveralls are still available (and I assume will be with the new roll out) to those who want them...I personally don't like them, but others swear by 'em.

Well, today we received the customer service poster, and it has...the same picture as the F/A one (a drawing, actually), so maybe it's a "generic" picture until each specific groups' uniforms are unveiled on the 12th? The only difference is on the list of what pieces are available to order....There is a logo over the left breast in both pictures, but you can't really tell what it looks like.

The Birdseye fabric does seem really nice, though.

I'm sure you can rattle off a long list of good things about the strike already, but if not having to wear one of these isn't on there yet, it needs to be... 🙂

They are. They have a penchant for getting caught on things, getting caught in/on beltloaders, and ripping off static wicks from CRJ wings. They're also ridiculously hot for as little fabric as there is to them. They don't really "breathe" like they should.

I don't know; I'm guessing it was a way to either get out of some kind of fine, or to lower insurance premiums. I would like to see something akin to KLM's uniforms issued. Very reflective while not looking idiotic and/or unkempt.

great idea...send it to them while they are in the spending mood.
