Glad to hear that we're keeping the US/East wings....they are actually pretty cool looking. I saw some AWA F/A's in the PHL Airport the other day and to be honest I could not even tell you what their wings looked like....they're uniforms are worse than the US/East side.....just seemed so busy, oh and women don't really look that good in men's ties, well at least on a uniform....what's up with that? :unsure: Can hardly hold my breath to see what this new uniform is gonna look like! 😱

Well all I can say is, we at least have some hope now that our "lovely ladies" from East and West will not look like Military prison wardens on work release to Denny's. I have to say that for the guys at least, the West uniform doesn't look so bad, well if they wear the latest pieces with the teal stripes and not that goofy looking retro tie from the 80's.

As part of the synergy plan, HP needed to reduce some level of flying due to the current aircraft decommission plan for 2006.

What is the current aircraft decommission plan for 2006 and why does HP need to decommision anything?

As for the current plan, I have no idea. But the August 31 2005 fleet plan attached to the ALPA transition agreement shows 5 West airplanes going away (back to the leasors, I presume) in 2006 - 1 757 & 4 737's. These are partially offset by 2 A319's projected to come on-line in 2006.

Believe me, you are not the only one that doesn't like them. The wings that we have are so cheap, the backings are magnetic! Cheap! Cheap! Cheap! I don't even know how many I've lost.
As far as the uniforms, I agree! Our uniforms are too busy!!
We all wear different ones! Some still wear the old stripe shirts with 80s paisley ties, some wear the current one with teal and some wear them with patriotic ties. Horrid!
I'm really concerned about our uniform committee. I don't know what they were thinking. I hope we get to vote on the new uniforms.

This is true. HP will discontinue service in both of these markets 01APR06...

Now that is to funny. I was on the hub about a half hour ago and the LAS MIA and RDU flights are already loaded in the system. It will be interesting to see how our trips look down the road with the shifting of flying between east and west.
